    摘要: An unplumbed sterilizer includes a heater having an electrical heating element disposed within a thermally conductive heater body. A conformable thermally conductive heat transfer plate is mounted between a mounting surface on the heater body and a heating surface on the sterilizing chamber. The heat transfer plate is effective to maintain a continuous mechanical contact between the heating and mounting surfaces. Further, a temperature sensor is attached to the heater body. By regulating the electrical power to the heating element as a function of the temperature of the heater body, the power applied to the heating element is maintained within specifications. Further, the heater body is mechanically attached to the sterilizing chamber by a single fastener resiliently applying a clamping force through the center of the heater body. In addition, the heater body is accessed simply by removing a cover plate from the outer body of the sterilizer.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a liquid cooling assembly for cooling electronic components. The liquid cooling assembly contains a heat spreader plate for providing mechanical support and thermal dissipation; a fluid channel for directing a cooling fluid in the plane of the heat spreader; and a bottom plate for protecting against destructive shock events and for providing thermal dissipation. The present invention also provides a maze structure in the liquid cooling assembly to increase structural stability against destructive shock events. The present invention also relates to a ruggedized electronics enclosure for housing electronic components. A top compartment contains a first electronics layer and a second electronics layer adjacent to said first electronics layer and a cooling assembly. A thermal shunt is configured to channel heat from the first and second electronics layers to the cooling assembly and to provide additional mechanical support to protect against potentially destructive shock events.

    摘要: Apparatus and method is disclosed for providing hot-add and hot swap capability to a computer system with a processor, and a memory, connected to a system bus. The apparatus includes a first bus, an adapter card slot, a switchable interface unit and hot-swap hot-add program code means. The first bus is connected to the system bus. The adapter card slot has a first port and a second port. The switchable interface unit includes a primary port and a secondary port. The primary port is connected to the first bus and the secondary port is connected to the first port of the adapter card slot. The switchable interface unit is responsive to a hot-swap hot-add power-down request to disconnect the second port from the first bus. The switchable interface unit is also responsive to a power-up request to reconnect the second port to the first bus. The hot-swap hot-add program code means in the memory accepts a request to connect a peripheral device adapter card into the second port of said adapter card slot, and responsive to the request communicates a power-down request to the switchable interface unit.
