    Abstract: An apparatus (10) comprising: at least one processor (12); and at least one memory (13) including computer program instructions (14); the at least one memory (13) and the computer program instructions (14) configured to, with the at least one processor (12), cause the apparatus (10) at least to perform: receiving (201) configuration information for enabling the apparatus (10) to measure a first set of Downlink (DL) Reference Signals (RSs) (302) and/or a second set of DLRSs (304), wherein DLRSs (302 #0-302 #4) of the first set of DLRSs (302) are respectively associated with a first set of DL beams (303), wherein one or more DLRSs (302 #1-302 #3) of the first set of DLRSs (302) are configured to be Quasi-Co-Located (QCLed) with at least one DLRS (304 #m) of the second set of DLRSs (304), and wherein DLRSs (304 #a-304 #z) of the second set of DLRSs (304) are respectively associated with a second set of DL beams (305); receiving (202) information for enabling the apparatus (10) to determine a Quasi-Co-Location (QCL) assumption for a Channel Occupancy Time (COT), wherein the QCL assumption for the COT is indicative of the availability, for use for transmissions within the COT, of: at least one DL beam (305 #m) associated with the at least one DLRS (304 #m) of the second set of DLRSs (304), and one or more DL beams (303 #1-303 #3) associated with the one or more DLRSs (302 #1-302 #3) of the first set of DLRSs (302) and QCLed with the at least one DLRS (304 #m) of the second set of DLRS (304); and determining (203), based at least in part on the received information and configuration information, the QCL assumption for the COT.

    Abstract: Methods, apparatuses, and computer program products where a user equipment in a wireless communications network determines a measure of signal quality for a restricted set of beam recovery candidates, compares the measure of signal quality of contention free random access candidates reference signal in the restricted set or a subset of contention free random access candidates to a signal quality based recovery threshold, and selects the at least one candidate signal with signal quality above that threshold from a candidate beam reference signal list; where the user equipment measures a reference signal received power for contention free random access candidate beam, selects candidates above a reference signal received power threshold, determines signal quality for the selected contention free random access candidates above that threshold, and selects one candidate in response to multiple contention free random access candidates being above that threshold or the one with highest measure of signal quality.

    Abstract: To better support beamforming in MIMO systems such as 5G, a first match is determined between a first transmit (TX) beam group of a radio network and a first receive (RX) beam group of a user equipment (UE); and also a second match is determined between a second TX beam group of the radio network and a second RX beam group of the UE. For example these matches can come from the UE's beam report with best match information. The network configures the UE with at least a first discontinuous reception (DRX) configuration associated with the first RX beam group and with a second DRX configuration associated with the second RX beam group. In this case the first and second DRX configurations are active simultaneously for the UE, and each said beam group comprises at least one antenna or antenna port.

    Abstract: Systems, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products for applying beam diversity for multi-slot physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) are provided. One method may include receiving configuration of a multi-slot transmission mode for a multi-slot communication channel. The method may also include receiving, based on the configuration of the multi-slot transmission mode, transmission configuration indications of a plurality of transmit beams for slots in the multi-slot communication channel. A selected set of candidate transmit beams may be received among the plurality of transmit beams for the slots in the multi-slot communication channel. The method may also include determining, among the selected set of candidate transmit beams, which transmit beam is used for each slot in the multi-slot communication channel, and applying a reception beam corresponding to each transmit beam used for each slot in the multi-slot communication channel.
