Abstract: An electrolyte includes a fluorinated cyclic carbonate, a chain carboxylate and a multi-nitrilemulti-nitrile compound having an ether bond. Based on a total weight of the electrolyte, a weight percentage (Cf) of the fluorinated cyclic carbonate is greater than a weight percentage (Cn) of the multi-nitrilemulti-nitrile compound having an ether bond. The electrolyte can control the expansion of the electrochemical device, so that the electrochemical device has excellent cycle, storage and/or floating-charge performance.

Abstract: A cell includes a flat electrode assembly formed by superposing and winding respective first ends of a first electrode sheet, a first separator, a second electrode sheet, and a second separator. A first electrode tab is connected to the first electrode sheet, and a second electrode tab is connected to the second electrode sheet. Abstract: An electrolyte including a dinitrile compound, a trinitrile compound, and propyl propionate. Based on the total weight of the electrolyte, the content X of the nitrile compound and the content Y of the trinitrile compound meet the conditions represented by Formula (1) and Formula (2): {about 2 wt %≤(X+Y)≤about 11 wt % . . . The electrolyte further includes at least one selected from the group consisting of a cyclic carbonate ester having a carbon-carbon double bond, a fluorinated chain carbonate ester, a fluorinated cyclic carbonate ester, and a compound having a sulfur-oxygen double bond. The electrolyte is capable of effectively inhibiting the increase in DC internal resistance of an electrochemical device so that the electrochemical device has excellent cycle and storage performance.

Abstract: The embodiments of the present application provides a wound electrode assembly formed by winding a first electrode sheet, a second electrode sheet, and an isolating membrane disposed therebetween. Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the field of battery state monitoring technologies, and in particular, to a battery state monitoring method and apparatus. The method is: monitoring a voltage value and a current value of an output end of a battery; determining a battery impedance value based on the voltage value; calculating an impedance voltage-drop value based on the current value and the battery impedance value; calculating an open circuit voltage of the battery based on the voltage value and the impedance voltage-drop value; when a difference of the open circuit voltage between two consecutive calculations is greater than or equal to a threshold, judging that the battery state is abnormal; and when the difference of the open circuit voltage between two consecutive calculations is determined to be lower than the threshold, updating the battery impedance value based on the voltage value and the current value. By using the foregoing method, the battery state is judged by verifying a relationship between a set threshold and a difference of the open circuit voltage between two consecutive calculations, thereby improving the accuracy of battery safety judgment. A possibility of a safety accident occurring in a battery can be predicted, thereby reducing or avoiding a risk of fire outbreak of a device caused due to a battery safety fault of the device.

Abstract: The present application relates to an electrode assembly and a secondary battery. The electrode assembly includes a cell and a protective layer. The cell includes a cell body and an electrode tab protruding from a top surface of the cell body. In a length direction of the cell, at least one end of the protective layer extends beyond the height at which the anode electrode in the cell body protrudes at the end, and the extended dimension is no more than 3 mm. As such, the burr of the anode electrode of the cell body is wrapped by the protective layer, which alleviates the phenomenon that the burr on the anode electrode pierces the package bag and chemically reacts with the aluminum layer of the package bag, thereby reducing the risk of leakage of the package bag.
