摘要: A medicament delivery device (100) for delivery of medicament from a cartridge (10) into an injection site, through a cannula (134). The cartridge has a medicament chamber (14) with an outlet (15), and a sealing element (16) for closing the outlet (15). The device has a housing (102) for receiving the cartridge (10), and a drive mechanism (200) to expel the medicament from the device upon activation of the drive mechanism (200). The device has a connection arrangement (199) comprising a hub (166) and spring means (184) for driving relative movement between the hub (166) and the cartridge (10) upon operation of an operating member (190). The operating member switches the connection arrangement (199) from an unconnected configuration to a connected configuration, in which the hub (166) cooperates with the cartridge (10) to open the outlet (15). When connected, fluid may flow between the chamber (14) and the cannula (134).

摘要: A device (200) for mixing first and second substances. The device comprises a first container (100) for storage of the first substance and a second container (150) received in the first container (100) and for storage of the second substance. An outlet (112) is disposed at the distal end of the first container (100). Valve means (180) are provided for closing a distal end of the second container (150) and a proximal end of the first container (100). A stopper means (166) closes a proximal end of the second chamber (152) and is movable with respect to the second container (150). An operating mechanism drives relative movement between the first and second containers for causing displacement of the second substance into the first chamber (102) through the valve means (180) when the outlet (112) is closed, for mixing the first and second substances in a mixing stroke of the device.

The device comprises a chassis (300), a carriage (200), and an insertion spring (70) for biasing the carriage (200) for movement in an insertion direction with respect to the chassis (300) from a starting position in which the cannula (16) is shrouded to an insertion position in which the cannula (16) is extended. A drive mechanism (400) is provided for driving a stopper (22) of the container (12) to expel the medicament. The drive mechanism (400) is carriage by the carriage (200) and comprises a movable drive member (404), a drive means (40) for applying a driving force to the drive member (404), and a force transmission means (406) for transmitting the driving force to the stopper (22). The drive means (40) is arranged around or alongside at least part of the force transmission means (406).

The cartridge includes a generally tubular body (102) having an interior cavity (104), a closure member (106) disposed at a distal end of the body and comprising a sealing element (128), a piston member (108) disposed in the cavity to contain the medicament between the piston member and the sealing element (128), a coupling element (114) disposed at the distal end of the body for coupling the cartridge to a dosing device (200) or to an adaptor for a dosing device, and a seal arrangement (126, 129) for receiving a sealing element release member (214) of the dosing device or adaptor. The coupling element (114) is arranged for engagement with an engagement part (220) of the dosing device or adaptor to clip the cartridge (100) to the dosing device or adaptor (200) upon insertion of the cartridge to the dosing device or adaptor, and the seal arrangement (126, 129) is disposed distally with respect to the sealing element (128) and is arranged to form a seal around the release member (214; 254) when the cartridge is coupled to the dosing device or adaptor.

The needle assembly comprises a needle hub (20) having a needle (22) and a needle shield (40) arranged for relative axial movement with respect to the needle hub, between a retracted position in which the tip of the needle projects beyond a forward end of the shield and an extended position in which the tip of the needle does not project beyond the forward end of the shield. The needle shield (40) is axially biased towards the extended position. The needle shield (40) is further arranged to be torsionally biased for relative rotational movement with respect to the needle hub (20).

摘要: An automatic injection device for delivering a dose from a medicine containing syringe includes a housing for containing the syringe, a force applicator for applying a force to eject medicine from the syringe, a trigger coupled to the force applicator for releasing the force applicator to cause an injection, a boot covering a needle attached to the syringe to protect and maintain sterility of the needle, and a mechanical interlock. The mechanical interlock prevents actuation of the trigger prior to removal of the boot. When the boot is removed, the mechanical interlock allows for actuation of the trigger.

摘要: An injection device is disclosed which comprise a housing (10), a plunger (40) for expressing a medicament from a syringe (20) and an actuation mechanism (30). The actuation mechanism (30) is arranged in use to move the plunger (40) between a first rearward position and a second forward position to express a dose from the syringe (20). The injector device further comprises an injection activation sensor (50), arranged for example to provide an end of dose indication. The sensor (50) comprises an elongate flexible member. The flexible member has a first end (52) connected to the plunger (40) or actuation mechanism (30) such that actuation motion of the injection device acts to move the elongate flexible member (50) relative to the housing. Movement of the elongate member (50) triggers a response to the injection such as an audible and/or tactile injection complete indication.

摘要: An injector apparatus includes a housing (101, 102) for a cartridge or syringe, a plunger (40) for cooperating in use with the cartridge or syringe to express successive doses, a dose setting arrangement (16, 20) to select a dose volume, and a drive mechanism (22, 24) releasable to advance the plunger in respective predetermined increments of magnitude to express the successive doses. The drive mechanism includes a drive spring (22) for imparting movement directly or indirectly to the plunger (40), and the dose setting arrangement includes a dose setting element (16) moveable in a dose setting routine to define a magnitude of an increment of movement of the plunger for a given dose. The drive mechanism further includes a clutch arrangement (56) operable during the dose setting routine to inhibit forward movement of the plunger and/or to isolate the dose setting element from the force of the drive spring.
