    摘要: A medicament packaging assembly for installation in a medicament delivery device is disclosed. The packaging assembly comprises a cartridge having a medicament chamber, a sealing element for sealing a distal end of the medicament chamber, a sealing element release member, a cannula and a removable cap member. The assembly is switchable from a starting configuration in which the release member is spaced from the sealing element to an activated configuration in which the release member cooperates with the sealing element to connect the medicament chamber to the cannula. The packaging assembly further comprises a first chamber defined in part by the cap member and arranged for receiving the cannula such that at least a distal end of the cannula is sealed in the first chamber when the cap member is in place, and a second chamber defined in part by the sealing element and arranged for receiving the release member.

    摘要: An injector apparatus includes a housing (101, 102) for a cartridge or syringe, a plunger (40) for cooperating in use with the cartridge or syringe to express successive doses, a dose setting arrangement (16, 20) to select a dose volume, and a drive mechanism (22, 24) releasable to advance the plunger in respective predetermined increments of magnitude to express the successive doses. The drive mechanism includes a drive spring (22) for imparting movement directly or indirectly to the plunger (40), and the dose setting arrangement includes a dose setting element (16) moveable in a dose setting routine to define a magnitude of an increment of movement of the plunger for a given dose. The drive mechanism further includes a clutch arrangement (56) operable during the dose setting routine to inhibit forward movement of the plunger and/or to isolate the dose setting element from the force of the drive spring.

    摘要: A dosing mechanism (6) for delivering a plurality of single metered doses includes a dose delivery mechanism; and a non-return mechanism (10), arranged to prevent the dose delivery mechanism from returning toward a primed position until a full metered dose has been delivered. The non-return mechanism includes a track defining an actuation path and a return path and an engagement member arranged to be received within the track. The track and engagement member are relatively moveable such that the engagement member is arranged to move along the actuation path during actuation of the dose delivery mechanism and along the return path during priming of the dose delivery mechanism. At least a portion of the actuation path is provided with a toothed profile to prevent reverse movement of the engagement member in the actuation path.

The needle assembly comprises a needle hub (20) having a needle (22) and a needle shield (40) arranged for relative axial movement with respect to the needle hub, between a retracted position in which the tip of the needle projects beyond a forward end of the shield and an extended position in which the tip of the needle does not project beyond the forward end of the shield.
