Abstract:
Provided is a display method of displaying, on a display device, video of video data where luminance of video is defined by a first EOTF indicating a correlation of HDR luminance and code values. The method includes: acquiring the video data; performing, regarding each of multiple pixels making up the video in the acquired video data, first determining of determining whether luminance of that pixel exceeds a first predetermined luminance; performing, regarding each of the multiple pixels, dual tone mapping where luminance of that pixel is reduced by a different format in a case of the luminance of the pixel being found to exceed the first predetermined luminance from the first determining, and a case of the luminance of the pixel being found to be equal to or lower than the first predetermined luminance; and displaying the video on the display device using the results of the dual tone mapping.
Abstract:
To provide an advertisement distribution method of determining a distribution destination of an advertisement of a product that has a low direct relevance to execution pieces of information collected from home appliances. The advertisement distribution method includes: a collecting step of collecting, from each of one or more of home appliances owned by each of users, one or more pieces of execution information each indicating a function that has been executed by the home appliance; a detecting step of, with respect to each user, detecting an unused function that has not been used in each home appliance by analyzing the collected pieces of execution information and functions of the home appliance; and a transmitting step of extracting a user who is expected to purchase a product based on a detection result, and transmitting an advertisement to one or more of the home appliances owned by the extracted user.
Abstract:
Provided is a display method of displaying, on a display device, video of video data where luminance of video is defined by a first EOTF corresponding to HDR. The method includes: acquiring the video data; performing first conversion where the luminance of the video is converted to a luminance corresponding to a dynamic range of a third EOTF, where, with regard to a second EOTF that is part of the first EOTF and is the part of a luminance range where the peak luminance indicated by the peak luminance information included in the acquired video data is maximum luminance, the dynamic range of luminance of the second EOTF is reduced with maximum luminance of the second EOTF matching displayable luminance of the display device, while maintaining the relative relationship of luminance of the second EOTF; and displaying the video on the display device using the result of the first conversion.
Abstract:
Provided is a server device (101) including: a transmitting/receiving section (201) for receiving, from a household electric appliance (102), an identifier for identifying the household electric appliance (102) and an operation status of the household electric appliance (102); an updating section (207) for estimating a consumption status of a consumer good using the received operation status so as to update the consumption status of the consumer good stored in a utilization information accumulating section (205) based on the estimated consumption status of the consumer good; and a determination section (206) for deciding whether or not to transmit a confirmation message for confirming the consumer good being used with the household electric appliance, based on the updated consumption status of the consumer good.
Abstract:
In a system that centrally manages a terminal device group composed of a plurality of terminal devices in a home, a method allows for: determining an instruction to be transmitted to one of the terminal devices according to an operation status acquired from a different one of the terminal devices; specifying, from among the terminal devices, a terminal device as a transmission destination of the instruction, with use of pieces of connection source information specifying the respective terminal devices in a network, and acquisition times of the pieces of connection source information; and transmitting the instruction to the specified terminal device. Upon receiving the instruction, the specified terminal device performs an operation based on the received instruction. The operation is in coordination with the operation status acquired from the different terminal device.
Abstract:
A content recording method for a recording apparatus includes the following steps: an automatic recording control step of automatically recording a first plurality of pieces of content in a channel automatic recording area, each of the first plurality of pieces of content being broadcast through a channel in a time slot; a deletion step of instructing a mobile apparatus to delete a first piece of content that has previously been copied or moved from the channel automatic recording area to the mobile apparatus when the recording apparatus detects that the recording apparatus has become able to communicate with the mobile apparatus; and a content transfer step of copying or moving a second piece of content included in the first plurality of pieces of content to the mobile apparatus when the recording apparatus detects that the recording apparatus has become able to communicate with the mobile apparatus.
Abstract:
A voice dialogue method performed by a voice dialog system includes: a voice signal generation unit; a voice dialog agent unit; a voice output unit; and a voice input control unit, the method including: a step of, by the voice signal generation unit, receiving a voice input and generating a voice signal based on the received voice input; a step of, by the voice dialog agent unit, performing voice recognition processing on the voice signal and performing processing based on a result of the voice recognition processing to generate a response signal; a step of, by the voice output unit, outputting a voice based on the response signal; and a step of, when the voice output unit outputs the voice, by the voice input control unit, keeping the voice signal generation unit, for predetermined period after output of the voice, a receivable state in which a voice input is receivable.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for controlling a cordless telephone device for use in a system that allows remote control of a home electric appliance. The method includes a first generation step of causing a first generation unit in a handset to encode audio input via a sound receiving unit in the handset to generate a first stream, and a first transmission step of transmitting the first stream to a base unit. The first generation step includes causing the first generation unit to generate instruction bit information and a first instruction stream when a first trigger indicating a request to start the remote control is given to the first generation unit. The first transmission step includes transmitting the instruction bit information and the first instruction stream to the base unit through a multiplexing scheme that is common to transmission of a first stream generated when the first trigger is not given.
Abstract:
A gateway (103) determines whether or not voice information collected by a sound collecting device (102) needs to be subjected to voice recognition by a server apparatus (101), and only voice information that is determined to need to be subjected to voice recognition by the server apparatus (101) is transmitted by the gateway (103) to the server apparatus (101). The server apparatus (101) recognizes the received voice information, decides a control instruction, and transmits the control instruction to a household electrical appliance (104) via the gateway (103).
Abstract:
The present disclosure is an information notification method in an information notification system, including: an acquiring step for acquiring today's required time which is required for traveling from a departure point to a destination included in behavior information; a determining step for determining today's departure time using the acquired today's required time and an arrival time included in the behavior information; a judging step for judging whether or not the determined today's departure time is earlier than a typical departure time included in the behavior information; a notifying step for notifying a notifying apparatus owned by the user of notification information for adjusting the behavior of the user, when it is judged that the determined today's departure time is earlier than the typical departure time; and an output step for causing the notifying apparatus to output the notified notification information.
