    Abstract: Provided is an electrolytic solution including a nonaqueous solvent and an alkali metal salt. The alkali metal salt is dissolved in the nonaqueous solvent. The nonaqueous solvent contains a perfluoropolyether having a weight-average molecular weight of 350 or more and less than 760. Also provided is a battery including the electrolytic solution, a positive electrode containing a positive electrode active material that can occlude and release an alkali metal cation, and a negative electrode containing a negative electrode active material that can occlude and release the alkali metal cation.

    Abstract: A cylindrical secondary battery comprises an outer package can with a cylindrical cylinder part and an electrode body arranged within the cylinder part. A ratio of the minimum value of the outer diameters in the cylinder central part of the outer package can, the cylinder central part being positioned in the center in the axial direction, to the average value of the outer diameters in the cylinder bottom end part is 99.89% or more; and the ratio of the maximum value of the outer diameters in the cylinder central part to the average value of the outer diameters in the cylinder bottom end part is 100.80% or less. The outer diameters in the cylinder central part periodically change with respect to the angle of circumference; and the period in which the outer diameters in the cylinder central part change with respect to the angle of circumference is 0.4π to 1.0π.

    Abstract: Provided is a lithium secondary battery comprising a cathode, an anode, and a non-aqueous electrolyte having lithium ion conductivity. A lithium metal is precipitated on a surface of the anode during charge of the lithium secondary battery. The lithium metal is dissolved from the surface of the anode in the non-aqueous electrolyte during discharge of the lithium secondary battery. The non-aqueous electrolyte contains a solvent and a lithium salt. The solvent includes a fluorinated ether. The fluorinated ether has a fluorination ratio of more than 0% and not more than 60%.
