Abstract: A lithium secondary battery according to the present disclosure comprises a cathode, an anode; and a non-aqueous electrolyte having lithium ion conductivity. A lithium metal is precipitated on a surface of the anode during charge of the lithium secondary battery. The lithium metal is dissolved from the surface of the anode in the non-aqueous electrolyte during discharge of the lithium secondary battery. The non-aqueous electrolyte contains a solvent and a lithium salt. The lithium salt includes a first lithium salt and a second lithium salt. The second lithium salt is different from the first lithium salt. The first lithium salt is composed of a lithium ion and an ate complex anion. A sum of concentration of the first lithium salt and the second lithium salt which are contained in the non-aqueous electrolyte is not less than 3.0 mol/L.

Abstract: A non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery with a negative electrode active material including a carbon material, and a silicon-containing material in which Si particles are dispersed in a lithium ion conductive phase. The negative electrode material mixture layer having a thickness T0 includes a first region on the negative electrode surface side having a thickness of T1, and a second region on the negative electrode current collector side, and the ratio T1/T0 is 1/20 to 19/20. The ratio of a mass ratio MS1 of the silicon-containing material in the first region to a mass ratio MS2 of the silicon-containing material in the second region is not less than 0 and less than 1. An open circuit potential of the negative electrode in a fully charged condition is higher than 0 mV and 70 mV or lower relative to lithium metal.

Abstract: A lithium secondary battery includes a wound electrode group and a lithium-ion conductive nonaqueous electrolyte. The wound electrode group includes a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The negative electrode includes a negative electrode current collector. The negative electrode current collector includes: a layer having a first surface facing outward of the winding of the electrode group and a second surface facing inward of the winding of the electrode group; first protrusions protruding from the first surface; and second protrusions protruding from the second surface. Lithium metal is deposited on the first surface and the second surface by charging. A first average height of the first protrusions is higher than a second average height of the second protrusions.

The negative electrode collector includes projection portions projecting from the surface toward the separator. There is no projection portion on an imaginary line extending from a first end to a second end opposite to the first end of the surface of the negative electrode collector and traversing a space between the projection portions.
