Abstract:
A locking apparatus for a vehicle seat, particularly for a motor vehicle seat, includes a locking mechanism (23) for mechanically locking a moveable catch (31) of the locking mechanism (23) with a counter element (B), and an actuator device (24, 50) for actuating the catch (31) via a drive. A housing (20) is provided in which the locking mechanism (23) is arranged and housed. Improved safety against injuries of vehicle passengers that occur due to non-locked backseat backrests is provided with a motor-driven device for creating a lock of the locking mechanism (23).
Abstract:
An implant for reconstructing meniscus defects or partial meniscus defects includes an elevated molding with a femoral condylar contact area, a tibial condylar contact area and an articular capsule contact area, in the manner of an artificial meniscus or artificial partial meniscus with a contour of an outer area that is substantially the same as a natural meniscus or partial meniscus, wherein at least one additional elevation is formed on the outer area of the elevated molding.
Abstract:
In an instrumentation for the production of fixing surfaces for fixing a knee joint endoprosthesis to the femoral condyle that is adjacent to the knee, and to the tibial head, provision is made for a rotary milling head, which is fixable in relation to the longitudinal axis of the femur and tibia, respectively, by fastening means and which, in relation to this longitudinal axis, is angularly adjustable in a stable stop position by being pivoted, defining milling planes, and which is displaceable in the set milling plane, covering same and working as a face milling cutter or as a cylindrical milling cutter.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a hand-lever control for motor and sport boats with a hand lever having a handle and guided in at least one function plane for controlling the engine. In order to facilitate maneuvering for the pilot, the hand lever or its handle is pivotal about the axis of the hand lever in two directions against a spring force and at least one sensor detecting this rotation is provided whose output controls a steering system.
Abstract:
A variable-pitch boat propeller has a hub rotatable about a hub axis, a plurality of vanes rotatable on the hub and extending generally radially of the hub axis, and an adjustment element rotatable on the hub about the hub axis and connected to the vanes for pivoting the vanes on the hub. An adjustment knob is pivotal on the hub about the hub axis and interengaging formations on the knob and hub limit angular displacement of the knob on the hub between a pair of end positions so that a limited range of adjustment of the vanes is possible with the knob. The interengaging formations include an axially open groove having a pair of ends constituting abutments and an axially projecting screw head and rotationally fixed relative to the hub and received in the groove. The groove is formed in the knob and the screw head is carried on a yoke rotationally coupled to the hub. The groove is arcuate, centered on the hub axis, and has an arc length of substantially less than 360°.
Abstract:
A variable-pitch boat propeller has a hub centered on and rotatable about a hub axis and formed with a radially out-wardly open pocket having a predetermined inside diameter and centered on a vane axis extending generally radially of the hub axis and a mounting plate rotatable in the pocket about the vane axis and having an outer face. A ring fixed in the pocket and having inner and outer peripheries bears radially inward of the hub axis on the mounting plate. An inner seal is provided between the inner ring periphery and the plate and an outer seal between the outer ring periphery and the pocket. A vane extending along the vane axis has a base of an outside diameter smaller than the inside diameter of the pocket and fitting in the pocket on the face of the plate. A screw or the like releasably secures the vane base to the plate face, and mechanism pivots the plate in the pocket about the vane axis.
Abstract:
A dispensing device for a dental substance is provided which has an outlet for the dental substance, and a valve for opening and closing the outlet. The device is switchable between a storage mode and an operative mode. In the storage mode a cannula is locked in the device and the valve opens the outlet, and in the storage mode the cannula can be released from the device and the valve closes the outlet. The device may facilitate handling and may be relatively inexpensive.
Abstract:
The invention involves a double trim tab for watercraft in which connection the flow interceptor (1) is activated by an actuation cylinder (4) and the flow interceptor (1) activates the bottom tab (2). One of the tabs may have a course correction device (10) or a course correction fin (11). In addition, an electronic steering device (14) can likewise carry out a course correction in the event of a trim change in which connection the steering wheel (17) is kept neutral by means of an uncoupling device (18).
Abstract:
An ink jet head is formed with a nozzle surface having a liquid repellent characteristic. The nozzle surface comprises a condensation product made from a hydrolyzable silane compound having a fluorine containing group and a hydrolyzable silane compound having a cationic polymerizable group.
