    Abstract: Method and apparatus to use different GI sequences for different FDM UEs. The apparatus calculates a GI of each UE from a set of UEs based at least on a delay spread associated with each UE from the set of UEs. The apparatus multiplexes data and the GI of each respective UE from the set of UEs to generate a waveform. The apparatus transmits the waveform to the set of UEs. The apparatus may receive, from each UE from the set of UEs, the delay spread associated with each UE from the set of UEs. The apparatus may multiplex the GI of each respective UE from the set of UEs prior to performing a DFT operation on the GI and the data. The apparatus may multiplex the GI of each respective UE from the set of UEs after performing an IDFT operation to generate the waveform.

    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support adaptable configuration for periodic and semi-persistent layer 1 (L1) measurement reporting. In a first aspect, a method of wireless communication includes a user equipment receiving an L1 measurement report configuration via radio resource control (RRC) signaling from a network entity. The L1 measurement report configuration includes configuration of one or more report occasions for L1 measurement report transmissions. The UE or network entity may then identify a dynamic modification indication that identifies a modification to one or more upcoming report occasions. The UE may transmit an L1 measurement report to the network entity in the upcoming report occasions according to the modification. Other aspects and features are also claimed and described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. In some wireless communications systems, a base station may transmit, to a user equipment (UE), an indication of a dynamic switch between slot formats. The base station and the UE may communicate first data in one or more first slots according to a first slot format. The first slot format may be a first cyclic prefix-based or guard interval-based slot format. The base station may transmit control signaling to the UE to indicate a second slot format different from the first slot format. The second slot format may be a second cyclic prefix-based or guard interval-based slot format. The UE and the base station may switch to communicating second data in one or more second slots in accordance with the second slot format based on the control signaling.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a subcarrier spacing (SCS) for communications in a transmission time interval (TTI), such as a half-subframe, including multiple symbols, corresponding cyclic prefixes, and a padding duration which is at least as long as a symbol duration. The UE may receive a configuration for the padding duration, indicating that at least a portion of the padding duration is reallocated for a reference signal that indicates waveform parameters for one or more symbols of the TTI after the padding duration. The UE may receive the reference signal indicating the waveform parameters during the portion of the padding duration and communicate during the one or more symbols of the TTI according to the waveform parameters.

    Abstract: A user equipment (UE) may receive at least one lean synchronization signal block (SSB), each of the at least one lean SSB being received in one of at least one symbol and each of the at least one lean SSB including the same kind of synchronization signal in each of the at least one symbol from a base station, measure at least one quantity associated with the received at least one lean SSB, and transmit a measurement report indicating the measured at least one quantity associated with the received at least one lean SSB to the base station for the purpose of beam management. The UE may receive a configuration indicating a lean SSB resource set. The UE may also receive an instruction to activate/deactivate or trigger the lean SSB and the measurement associated with the received lean SSB resource set when the type is semi-persistent or aperiodic, respectively.

    Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for adjusting the density and/or number of random access channel (RACH) occasion for one or subset of synchronization signal block (SSB) beams from the plurality of available SSB beams. To this end, features of the present disclosure utilize a beam-specific bit-field that is transmitted by the base station to the user equipment (UE) that may indicate RACH occasion density for a SSB beam or a subset of SSB beams. In some aspects, the time and frequency resources for RACH occasion with beam-specific alternative density may be identified via the resources for general RACH occasions. Based on the adjusted RACH occasion density, the UE may select one or time and frequency resources to initiate access with the base station.
