    Abstract: A method for wireless communication includes a first wireless communication device receiving, from a second wireless communication device, one or more signals for each of a plurality of candidate sensing beams and a transmission beam. The method also includes determining, for each of the plurality of candidate sensing beams based on at least one of the one or more signals for the respective candidate sensing beam, a first signal measurement. The method also includes determining, based on at least one of the one or more signals for the transmission beam, a second signal measurement with respect to a direction of the transmission beam, and determining, for each of the plurality of candidate sensing beams based on the respective first signal measurement and the second signal measurement, beam coverage information with respect to the transmission beam direction.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may determine an emissions mask (e.g., an in-band emission (IBE) mask) for a user equipment (UE) which may be determined based on the total number of UEs scheduled by the base station for uplink transmissions during a same transmission time interval (TTI). The base station may transmit downlink control information (DCI) to the UE indicating the emissions mask. The base station may additionally transmit a grant to the UE allocating resources for the UE based on the UE's position relative to other UEs served by the base station. The UE may receive the DCI and may map the emissions mask to a maximum power reduction (MPR). Based on the MPR, the UE may determine a transmit power and may transmit an uplink transmission to the base station according to the transmission power and the DCI.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for beamforming in environments with angular constraints are described. A wireless device such as a user equipment (UE) or base station may configure beam parameters based on a sensitivity level of a neighboring wireless device (e.g., a satellite). The configuration of beam parameters may be based on an interference power profile (e.g., threshold(s) indicated by an interference power profile). The interference power profile may specify a mask, which may indicate allowed or unintended directions for transmission or a transmission power mask. A beamformed transmission may be in accordance with the configured beam parameters, which may result in a reduced transmission power in one or more directions, compliance with total power limits, peak power limits, or energy radiated over a period of time, or any combination thereof.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may configure a secondary component carrier (CC) for a user equipment (UE) which is not aligned on a valid channel raster entry. The location of the secondary CC may be indicated based on a reference location relative to another frequency or another CC. The reference location of the secondary CC may be the center of the new CC, an edge of the secondary CC, the position of a subcarrier within the secondary CC, or the position of a resource. In some examples, the reference location of the secondary CC may be indicated relative a currently used CC, an arbitrary channel entry, or an absolute frequency location. In some examples, the relative location may be provided in resource blocks or subcarriers and the subcarrier spacing (SCS). The base station may indicate the width of the secondary CC to the UE.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may identify a channel raster associated with a plurality of resource blocks of a channel. The plurality of resource blocks may have an asymmetric relation with respect to the channel raster. The base station may configure, based at least in part on the asymmetric relation, a message to indicate a resource block offset metric that comprises an indication of the channel raster and location information associated with a first resource block of the plurality of resource blocks. The base station may transmit the message to convey the indication of the resource block offset metric.
