Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may identify that the UE is in communication with a primary cell and a secondary cell in a carrier aggregation configuration, where the primary cell is a cross-carrier scheduled cell and the secondary cell is a cross-carrier scheduling cell. The UE may receive downlink control information from the secondary cell. The downlink control information may include a cross-carrier scheduling indication that a data transmission is scheduled with the primary cell. The UE may monitor a common search space of the primary cell for control information that pertains to communications with the primary cell. The UE may communicate with the primary cell via the data transmission in accordance with at least one of the downlink control information from the secondary cell and the control information from the common search space of the primary cell.

Abstract: Various aspects related to a platooning group in a V2V and/or V2X network are described. In an aspect of the disclosure, a method, a computer-readable medium, and an apparatus are provided. The apparatus maybe a first UE configured to transmit a first message to announce an existence of the platooning group. In one configuration, the first UE may receive, in response to the first message, a second message indicating a request to join the platooning group from a second UE. The first UE may allow or deny the second UE to join the platooning group based on the second message. In another aspect, the apparatus maybe a first UE configured to receive a first message indicating an existence of a platooning group. The first UE may be configured to decode a portion of the first message, and determine whether the platooning group is a private group based on the decoding.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may determine that a negative acknowledgment (NACK) feedback message for a broadcast/multicast communication is to be transmitted. The UE may transmit the NACK feedback message, via a radio access network (RAN), to a broadcast/multicast control plane function device of a core network based at least in part on determining that the NACK feedback message is to be transmitted. The UE may receive a retransmission of the broadcast/multicast communication based at least in part on transmitting the NACK feedback message.

Abstract: Sequence selection techniques for Non-Orthogonal Multiple Access (NOMA) are provided. A User Equipment (UE) sends a request to a base station, the request indicating that the UE is to conduct at least one uplink transmission. The UE receives, in response to the request, an indicator of an expected system load, a value of the indicator including a total number of sequences expected to be used at one time for uplink transmissions in the system. The UE detects that at least two different pairs of sequences in a configured set of sequences have different cross correlation values, the sequences in the set configured for scrambling uplink transmissions. The UE selects, in response to the detecting and based on the indicator, at least one sequence with an improved cross correlation with at least one other sequence the at least one sequence and the at least one other sequence to be used for scrambling uplink transmissions within the system.

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, and computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for managing cross-carrier scheduling. In one aspect, a processor of a wireless device may determine whether downlink control information (DCI) received from a secondary cell schedules communications on a primary cell, and may determine cross-carrier scheduling of communications on the primary cell in response to determining that the DCI received from the secondary cell schedules communications on the primary cell. In another aspect, processor of a network device may schedule communications on the primary cell in the DCI of the secondary cell, and may perform cross-carrier scheduling of communications on the primary cell based on the DCI of the secondary cell.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Random access channel (RACH) occasions may be scheduled on each component carrier (CC) of a carrier aggregation (CA) configuration that includes both a time division duplexing (TDD) TD Raid band and at least one frequency division duplexing (FDD) band based on a synchronization signal/physical broadcast channel block (SSB) received in the TDD band. In some cases, the TDD band may be used to configure the RACH occasions in same and/or different CCs. Additionally or alternatively, the FDD band may configure the RACH occasions on its uplink CC based on SSBs received on other CCs. Additionally, the RACH occasions may be configured such that the UE avoids unavailable uplink slots when transmitting a first RACH message in a RACH occasion.

Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a base station may configure an uplink transmission pattern related to an uplink transmission resource on multiple component carriers. The base station may transmit, to a user equipment (UE), information related to activating the uplink transmission pattern in a single scheduling message. Accordingly, the UE may transmit information on the multiple component carriers in one or more uplink symbols based at least in part on the uplink transmission pattern. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Abstract: A first user equipment (UE) is configured to communicate with a base station over a Uu link and communicate with a second UE over a sidelink. The first UE transmits a joint scheduling request and a joint buffer status report (BSR) for an uplink transmission on the Uu link with the base station and a sidelink transmission on the sidelink with the second UE. The joint BSR is associated with a relative latency of the uplink transmission and the sidelink transmission. The first UE receives from the base station, a joint transmission grant scheduling the uplink transmission on a first set of resources and scheduling the sidelink transmission on a second set of resources. The first UE transmits a first transmission on the first set of resources for the uplink transmission and a second transmission on the second set of resources for the sidelink transmission.
