Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Some examples of the described techniques provide for time-division multiplexing (TDM) modem envelope enhancements. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a network entity, a message scheduling a transport block or multiple transport blocks in a downlink slot that immediately precedes one or more non-downlink slots (e.g., uplink (U), special(S), or flexible (F) slots) in a TDD slot configuration. The UE may receive the transport block or the multiple transport blocks in the downlink slot, and may process at least a portion of the transport block or the multiple transport blocks during one or more time intervals that occur after the downlink slot. The transport block may satisfy a per-slot transport block size threshold that is associated with a hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) processing timeline.

Abstract: Apparatuses and methods for received signal quality dependent PDCCH monitoring adaptation are described. An apparatus is configured to receive, from a network node, multiple SSS group configurations, and receive an indication of a first SSS group configuration from the multiple SSS group configurations based on a first received signal quality of the UE. The apparatus is also configured to monitor first PDCCH candidates associated with the first SSS group configuration. Another apparatus is configured to configure, for a UE, multiple SSS group configurations, and provide an indication of a first SSS group configuration from the multiple SSS group configurations based on a first received signal quality of the UE. The apparatus is also configured to provide a PDCCH for the UE in at least one PDCCH candidate of the first SSS group configuration.

Abstract: Method and apparatus for two-stage PDCCH with dynamic DCI size indication. The apparatus receives DCI including a first DCI portion comprising an indication indicating a size of a second DCI portion, and the second DCI portion having the size based on the indication in the first DCI portion. The apparatus transmits or receives communication with a network entity using resources scheduled in the second DCI portion. The apparatus receives RRC signaling indicating a first DCI size of the first DCI portion from a defined set of sizes.

APERIODIC ZERO POWER CHANNEL STATE INFORMATION REFERENCE SIGNAL ENHANCEMENT FOR MULTI-SLOT PDSCH RATE MATCHING

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure allow for more efficient rate matching by allowing a triggered A-ZP-CSI-RS set to support rate matching around multiple slots. Aspects of the present disclosure may allow a triggered A-ZP CSI-RS set to be applied to less than all scheduled PDSCH slots when DCI schedules PDSCH on multiple slots. Aspects of the present disclosure may extend CSI-RS resource mapping to span multiple adjacent slots. In another instance, aspects of the present disclosure allow a resource mapping configuration to indicate an initial symbol of a plurality of symbols spanning the plurality of slots for a respective A-ZP-CSI-RS resource. Doing so also allows a PDSCH transmission in a slot among the plurality of slots using a rate matching pattern associated with a set of A-ZP-CSI-RE resources to be received. In addition, aspects of the present disclosure can also add periodicity to A-ZP-CSI-RS resource set configuration.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) determine that at least one packet of a set of packets for a downlink message is unsuccessfully received at a radio link control (RLC) layer of the UE due to a specific situation of a set of specific situations and may transmit the NACK message based on the missing packet (s) on an as needed basis rather than waiting for a timer to expire (e.g., a fast NACK mechanism). In some examples, the specific situations may include the UE missing packets after a measurement gap, missing packets based on wake up latencies for a discontinuous reception mode of the UE, missing packets due to interference from reference signals transmitted by neighboring cells, missing packets due to the UE not decoding retransmissions that have a same redundancy version (RV) of a downlink message, or a combination thereof.
