Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A first device may receive signaling associated with a traffic class from a second device. The first device may determine that the traffic class is included in a set of known traffic classes based on a set of features associated with the signaling. In response to determining that the traffic class is included in the set of known traffic classes, the first device may use a machine learning model to obtain a prediction of an application associated with the signaling. The prediction may be based on the set of features. The machine learning model may be trained at the first device or the second device. The first device may receive information associated with the machine learning model from the second device.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some wireless communications systems, a wireless device may buffer uplink communications. However, such approaches may be improved. An access point (AP) may receive, from a station, uplink traffic of a traffic flow for forwarding to a backhaul network via a backhaul link. The AP may monitor a buffer of the AP to determine that a quantity of buffered uplink traffic received from the station exceeds a buffer quota, the buffer quota set for the traffic flow based on a traffic throughput capacity of the backhaul link and a throughput parameter for the traffic flow. The AP may modify, based on the quantity of buffered uplink traffic exceeding the buffer quota, an uplink communication scheme to reduce the quantity of uplink traffic from the station. The AP may communicate with the station based on the modified uplink communication scheme

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, to mitigate a denial of service attack to a power line communication (PLC) network. A first node of the PLC network may activate a countermeasure that enables the PLC network (including the first node and a second node) to continue to communicate when one or more transmissions associated with a denial of service attack are injected onto the communication medium. This disclosure includes several techniques to detect a denial of service attack and several countermeasures that may be implemented. For example, a countermeasure may include the use of a custom preamble or a custom priority resolution symbol that is specific to the PLC network. The first node and the second node may disregard transmissions that do not conform to the custom preamble or custom priority resolution symbol.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for provisioning resources for wireless communications. Some implementations more specifically relate to provisioning such resources based on a mapping of wireless communication devices to a number of time sectors that occur periodically and do not overlap other time sectors. In some aspects, each wireless stations (STAs) in a basic service set (BSS) may be mapped to a respective time sector based on attributes associated with the BSS so that communications between a STA and its associated access point (AP) can only occur within the respective time sector(s) to which the STA is mapped. Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for controlling basic service set (BSS) configuration of an access point (AP) in a multi-AP network. The multi-AP network may include a first AP that manages a first basic service set (BSS) and a second AP that manages a second BSS. The first BSS and the second BSS may share one or more wireless channels or may have overlapping coverage areas. A multi-AP controller may determine a BSS configuration policy (such as a maximum transmission opportunity (TXOP) duration) for the second BSS based on a type of traffic in the first BSS. This disclosure includes techniques for sharing traffic characteristics, determining the BSS configuration policy, communicating the BSS configuration policy, and controlling the BSS configuration policies for multiple BSSs so that one of the BSSs can provide a quality of service (QoS) for one or more stations (STAs).

Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus for asynchronous channel access control of a wireless system. In some aspects, a device may adjust the priority of one or more PPDUs and may perform other operations to ensure control of a wireless medium at certain times while still allowing for other devices to communicate on the wireless medium. For example, the device may adjust a backoff counter or one or more EDCA parameters to ensure obtaining control of the wireless medium to transmit a first PPDU of an application file. For one or more subsequent PPDUs of the application file, the device may again adjust a backoff counter or one or more EDCA parameters to allow other devices to obtain control of the wireless medium in certain scenarios (such as a second device to provide information back to the device or to otherwise transmit using the shared wireless medium).

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices and systems for selecting a first group of wireless communication devices to receive a first multi-user (MU) protocol data unit (PDU). A threshold value for identifying collisions of PDUs is determined based on the number of devices in the first group of devices. A second group of wireless communication devices is selected to receive a second MU PDU. Responsive to determining that an acknowledgment (ACK) acknowledging the second MU PDU has not been received from a device of the second group of devices within a threshold duration of time, a number of ACKs, including the ACK, that have not been received from the respective device is determined. An action is then performed based on the determined number of ACKs and the threshold value. In some implementations, the action includes reducing a data rate or initiating a backoff operation.

Abstract: Various aspects provide a wireless station (STA) to implement congestion sensitive target wake time (TWT) communications scheduling and enable the STA to determine whether to engage in communications between TWT service periods. A method described includes identifying a congestion metric, determining whether the congestion metric meets a congestion threshold, and transmitting a request to establish TWT communications in response to determining that the congestion metric meets the congestion threshold. Another method described includes terminating a scheduled service period of a TWT communications, receiving an indication that a threshold number of frames is available for transmission to an STA from an access point (AP) or an indication that one or more frames are present in a transmission queue at the STA, and transmitting, by the STA to the AP an indication that a communications link is to remain active between the terminated scheduled service period and a subsequent scheduled service period.

Abstract: Method, systems, and apparatuses are described for wireless communications. More particularly, a wireless station may connect to a wireless network using a first radio frequency (RF) band and detect a signal strength of the first RF band is greater than a roaming threshold. The wireless station may perform a plurality of scans for support by the wireless network of a second RF band in response to the detected signal strength. Each scan may occur when the signal strength of the first RF band is greater than the roaming threshold. The wireless station may selectively connect to the wireless network using the second RF band based at least in part on the scanning and a throughput supported by the wireless network over the second RF band. The first RF band may be a 2.4 GHz band and the second RF band may be a 5 GHz band.
