Abstract: Systems and techniques are provided for wireless communications. For example, an apparatus (e.g., a user equipment (UE)) may receive a downlink transmission in a first downlink time slot and receiving an update to a scheduling offset associated with a propagation time delay of communications between the apparatus and a network entity. The update indicates an updated scheduling offset. The apparatus may determine a selected scheduling offset as one of the scheduling offset or the updated scheduling offset. The apparatus may transmit, using a second uplink time slot, an uplink transmission associated with the downlink transmission. The second uplink time slot may be determined based on a first uplink time slot and the selected scheduling offset.

Abstract: User equipment associated with a legacy network may utilize a bottom-to-top search technique to identify relevant control channel samples. Generating a control channel that is configured for the bottom-to-top search technique may lead to poor performance in a single-carrier waveform, which may be disadvantageous as networks move toward New Radio. In some aspects, described herein, a base station generates a control channel that is configured to minimize gaps in the control channel, and a user equipment performs a top-to-bottom search technique to identify relevant control channel samples. By using the top-to-bottom search technique, degradation of single-carrier waveforms is reduced and efficiency is improved.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Generally, the described techniques provide for efficiently identifying resources for transmitting one or more sidelink synchronization signal blocks (S-SSBs) in the shared spectrum or efficiently beam sweeping multiple S-SSBs in the shared spectrum. In one aspect, a user equipment (UE) may transmit an S-SSB in a sidelink bandwidth part (BWP) in the shared spectrum such that a lower edge of the S-SSB is aligned with or offset from a lower edge of the sidelink BWP. In another aspect, a UE may beam sweep S-SSBs in one or more S-SSB bursts in a S-SSB period to improve the chances that another UE may receive the S-SSBs. In yet another aspect, resources allocated for S-SSB transmissions may facilitate flexible S-SSB transmissions while minimizing gaps to prevent other UEs from incorrectly determining that a sidelink BWP in a shared spectrum is clear for transmission.

Abstract: This disclosure provides methods, devices, and systems for resource selection supporting the identification of resources for receiving two-stage downlink control information (DCI). In some systems, for example, a base station may transmit a first stage DCI and a second stage DCI to a user equipment. The first stage DCI may include control information for a group of UEs including the UE and the second stage DCI may include control information that is specific to the UE. The UE may determine a resource to use for receiving the second stage DCI based on an indication in the first stage DCI.
