摘要: A multiphase ferrite composition includes a primary phase consisting of a MnZn ferrite matrix; and 0.01 to 10 weight percent microscaled inclusion particles comprising an orthoferrite RFeO3 wherein R is a rare earth ion, yttrium iron garnet (YIG), or a combination thereof, wherein the microscaled inclusion particles have an average particle size (D50) of 0.1 micron to 5 microns, and wherein the D50 of the microscaled inclusion particles is smaller than the average particle size (D50) of the MnZn ferrite particles; and optionally 0.01 to 5 weight percent additive; wherein weight percent is based on the total weight of the multiphase ferrite composition. A method of manufacturing the multiphase ferrite composition is also disclosed.

摘要: A magneto-dielectric material operable between a minimum frequency and a maximum frequency, having: a plurality of layers that alternate between a dielectric material and a ferromagnetic material, lowermost and uppermost layers of the plurality of layers each being a dielectric material; each layer of the plurality of ferromagnetic material layers having a thickness equal to or greater than 1/15th a skin depth of the respective ferromagnetic material at the maximum frequency, and equal to or less than ⅕th the skin depth of the respective ferromagnetic material at the maximum frequency; each layer of the plurality of dielectric material layers having a thickness and a dielectric constant that provides a dielectric withstand voltage across the respective thickness of equal to or greater than 150 Volts peak and equal to or less than 1,500 Volts peak; and, the plurality of layers having an overall thickness equal to or less than one wavelength of the minimum frequency in the plurality of layers.

摘要: In an aspect, a ferrite composition comprises a Ru—Co2Z ferrite having the formula: (Ba3-xMx)Co2(M′Ru)yFe24-2y-zO41, wherein M is at least one of Sr, Pb, or Ca; M′ is at least one of Co, Zn, Mg, or Cu; x is 1 to 3; y is greater than 0 to 2; and z is −4 to 4. In another aspect, an article comprises the ferrite composition. In yet another aspect, method of making the ferrite composition comprises mixing ferrite precursor compounds comprising Fe, Ba, Co, and Ru; and sintering the ferrite precursor compounds in an oxygen atmosphere to form the Ru—Co2Z ferrite.

摘要: A magnetic fiber comprises a core comprising a spinel ferrite of formula Me1-xMxFeyO4, wherein Me is Mg, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, or a combination thereof, x=0 to 0.25, and y=1.5 to 2.5, wherein the core is solid or at least partially hollow; and a shell at least partially surrounding the core, and comprising a Me1-xMxFey alloy, wherein when the core is solid with Me=Ni and x=0 the magnetic fiber has a diameter of greater than 0.3 micrometer. A magneto-dielectric material having a magnetic loss tangent of less than or equal to 0.03 at 1 GHz comprises a polymer matrix; and a plurality of the magnetic fibers.

摘要: A ferrite composition is provided containing Ba, Co, and Ir and having a Z-type hexaferrite phase and a Y-type hexaferrite phase. The ferrite composition has the formula Ba3Co(2+x)IrxFe(24-2x)O41 where x=0.05-0.20. The composition has equal or substantially equal values of permeability and permittivity while retaining low magnetic and dielectric loss factors. The composition is suitable for ultrahigh frequency applications such as high frequency and microwave antennas.

摘要: Described herein is a nanocrystalline ferrite having the formula Ni1−x−yMyCoxFe2+zO4, wherein M is at least one of Zn, Mg, Cu, or Mn, x is 0.01 to 0.8, y is 0.01 to 0.8, and z is −0.5 to 0.5, and wherein the nanocrystalline ferrite has an average grain size of 5 to 100 nm. A method of forming the nanocrystalline ferrite can comprise high energy ball milling.
