摘要: There is provided a resin composition for producing a composite part, comprising: a) from 30 to 90 wt % by weight of the composition of an epoxy resin component; and b) from 5 to 50 wt % by weight of the composition of a curative component; wherein the epoxy resin component comprises N,N,N′,N′-tetraglycidyl-4,4′-diamino-3,3′-dimethyldiphenylmethane (M-TGDDM) in an amount of at least 30 wt % by weight of the epoxy resin component; and further wherein the curative component comprises one or more of a diaminodiphenyl sulfone, a diaminobenzophenone, a fluorene diamine, a methylene bis aniline, including hybrid methylene bis anilines, or a substituted diamine toluene. There is also provided the use of N,N,N′,N′-tetraglycidyl-4,4′-diamino-3,3′-dimethyldiphenylmethane (M-TGDDM) as a compression performance improving additive in a resin composition for producing a composite part. There are also provided curable composite components, cured composite components produced therefrom and the use of such components as aircraft components.

The activator is mixed with the aggregate to form a homogenized mixture. A liquid is introduced into a homogenized mixture to form a slurry and then a pot hole filler. The pot hole filler is directed through an exit end of a mixing tube.

摘要: A method for making a thermoplastic material includes: (a) partially crosslinking an elastomer composition at a first crosslinking temperature to form a thermoplastic, partially crosslinked elastomer composition; (b) mixing a thermoplastic polymer composition with the thermoplastic, partially crosslinked elastomer composition and heating the mixture to a second crosslinking temperature higher than the first crosslinking temperature, wherein the thermoplastic polymer composition is liquid at the second crosslinking temperature; and (c) continuously mixing the mixture while further crosslinking the elastomer composition to form a thermoplastic material having a dispersed phase of crosslinked elastomer composition in the thermoplastic polymer composition. The elastomer composition may include an elastomer compounded with a curing agent and optionally additional components. A thermoplastic material resulting from this process may be molded or shaped by any method used for forming thermoplastic materials into articles, such as molding, extrusion, or thermoforming.

摘要: A method for making a thermoplastic material includes: (a) introducing into an extruder an elastomer composition including an ethylenically unsaturated elastomer polymer, a first free radical initiator, and a second free radical initiator; (b) in a first zone of the extruder, heating and partially crosslinking the elastomer composition at a first crosslinking temperature to form a thermoplastic, partially crosslinked elastomer composition; (c) introducing into the extruder in a second zone downstream of the first zone a thermoplastic polymer composition; (d) mixing and heating the thermoplastic polymer composition and the thermoplastic, partially crosslinked elastomer composition to a second crosslinking temperature higher than the first crosslinking temperature, wherein the thermoplastic polymer composition is liquid at the second crosslinking temperature; and (e) mixing and further crosslinking the elastomer composition to form a thermoplastic material having a dispersed phase of the crosslinked elastomer composition in the thermoplastic polymer composition.

摘要: The invention relates to polymeric cobalt bearing compounds, in particular for use as metal-rubber adhesion promoters (RAPs) in tires, belts and hoses. Known active substances are a.o. cobalt stearates, naphthenates, resinates, decanoates, boro-decanoates and many other forms of acylates. While these substances appear to enhance the metal-rubber adhesion, all of them also come with significant drawbacks, a.o. linked to the relatively high bioavailability of cobalt in these substances. The invention concerns more particularly a polymer comprising Co-carboxylate sequences, with a Co content of at least 3% by weight, and with a mean molecular weight of more than 2000. Several synthesis methods, allowing to reach relatively high Co concentrations in the polymer, illustrate the invention. The invented polymers show a strongly reduced bioavailability of Co compared to currently available products, as demonstrated by aqueous leaching tests. As RAPs, they perform similarly to commercial products, as shown by pullout tests.
