A medical device and a method of using such medical device for removing targeted tissue from a body lumen in a patient is presented. The method generally comprises placing the distal end of the device through a natural orifice in the patient to a location that is proximate to the targeted tissue; deploying a T-anchor fastened to a suture strand through the targeted tissue; deploying a loop anchor into the tissue of the body lumen spaced away from the targeted tissue, whereas the suture strand is slidably received by the loop anchor; applying tension to the suture strand; cutting the tissue at a predetermined depth around the periphery of the targeted tissue; and removing the targeted tissue along with the T-anchor from the body lumen. The tension applied to the targeted tissue maintains the targeted tissue in a raised position and/or allows the physician to manipulate the targeted tissue relative to the tissue that is proximate to it.

Medical devices and related methods are provided for closing a perforation in a bodily wall. The medical device generally includes a set of tissue anchors and an elongate tensioning member. Each anchor includes a crossbar having opposing ends and defining a longitudinal axis. A strand is connected to the crossbar at a location between the opposing ends and projects away from the longitudinal axis. The strand includes a distal end connected to the crossbar and a proximal end having a first connector. The elongate tensioning member is structured to selectively engage and disengage the first connector. The strands of the anchor are capable of being tensioned and fixed together for closing the perforation. The tensioning member is removed after the strands are fixed together.

In one embodiment, the pressure source may be placed in selective fluid communication with a proximal region of the container and fluid from the pressure source may flow through at least a portion of the container to urge the therapeutic agent through the container towards the target site. In an alternative embodiment, the pressure source may be selectively in fluid communication with either a first hollow tube and the container so that therapeutic agent is urged into a catheter, or with a second hollow tube and a catheter so that a fluid from the pressure source bypasses the container and enters the catheter.

The coating allows reflection of ultrasonic waves from the coated echogenic region sufficient for ultrasonic imaging of the echogenic region at a resolution providing for effective navigation in a body. The coated region has a first surface area and the electrosurgical region has a second surface area. The first surface area is greater than the second surface area.
