摘要： A system measures a traveling direction of a vehicle based on a direction toward a coordinate position defined by outputs of a geomagnetic sensor from a first coordinate position of a center of a corresponding output circle. The system utilizes a preliminary coordinate position as a preliminarily corrected value of the first coordinate position, a first value indicative of accuracy of the preliminary coordinate position and a second value which is variable depending on a variation in a magnetization level on a vehicle body. The system derives a finally corrected value of the first coordinate position based on the preliminary coordinate position and a latest value of the finally corrected value which has been derived in a prior execution of the system, by changing a rate which determines a point of the current finally corrected value between the latest finally corrected value and the preliminary coordinate position.

摘要： A steering mechanism for a steerable vehicle such as an automotive vehicle, wherein a switch support structure positioned internally of the rim portion of a steering wheel and having incorporated therein a switch assembly including various electric switch units to be manually actuated is retained in position independently of the steering wheel and held against rotation with respect to a steering column tube fixed with respect to the body structure of the vehicle and wherein an optical display unit associated with the switch units or some of the switch units is securely supported in position in front of the steering wheel. The switch units are connected to electrically operated vehicular instruments through wire harnesses including those which are passed through the switch support structure and those which are passed through a member secured to the steering column tube.

摘要： The present invention relates to a meter suitable for use in vehicles. The meter has a polarizing window which allows light having a vertical component only to pass therethrough and is preferably oriented so that optimum angle of incidence i of the polarized light on, the windshield for example, for attenuation of the reflection thereof, occurs. The outer surface of the window is preferably provided with a non-reflecting or anti-glare finish so that light from a source external of the meter is not reflected off the window. The arrangement ensures that visibility obscuring reflections on the windshield and the like caused by the meter mounted in prominent position on the instrument panel is not caused by light sources within or external of the meter.
