摘要: A mounting system configured to support a component relative to a mounting surface of a vehicle includes a mounting bracket including a mounting portion configured to be coupled to the mounting surface of the vehicle. The mounting bracket defining a component receptacle configured to support the component. The mounting bracket comprises a first plastic material. The mounting system also includes a seal coupled to the mounting bracket and configured to engage the mounting surface of the vehicle to inhibit ingress of debris between the mounting portion and the mounting surface of the vehicle. The seal comprises a second plastic material, different than the first plastic material. The mounting system may be included in a window assembly where the mounting surface of the vehicle is an inner surface of a transparent pane and the component is a sensor.

摘要: A sensor module as well as a method for manufacturing a sensor module for determining a property of a fluid, in particular for measuring air quality, comprises a printed circuit board, at least one sensor on the printed circuit board for measuring a parameter of the surrounding air and a housing for the printed circuit board. A part of the printed circuit board protrudes from an opening in the housing (10), wherein the at least one sensor (21, 22) is located on a front side of the protruding part of the printed circuit board. In addition, at least the front side of the protruding part of the printed circuit board, with the exception of a recess for the at least one sensor, is encapsulated with a filling compound. The sensor module can be used in an interior or an air duct of motor vehicles or buildings. In one embodiment, the sensor module measures temperature, relative humidity and gas concentration in a fluid, especially in the surrounding air.

The assembly 10 includes a mounting 48 for mounting the head 14 to the body 12 which is arranged to permit adjustment of the orientation of the head 14 relative to the body 12.

摘要: A drive-over tire tread depth measurement system is configured with environmental protection components for preventing or impeding environmental contaminates from falling through openings in a vehicle support surface or cover plate onto underlying components such as sensor optical windows and adjacent surfaces. The environmental protection components may include air discharge assemblies, movable shields, guards, wipers or deflectors such as drip edges, water-accumulating textured surfaces, flow diverters, and selectively placed flanges or fixed guards which operate cooperatively to displace accumulated contaminates, debris, or liquids from the optical windows and adjacent sensor surfaces. A portion of the vehicle support surface or cover plate is removable to permit access to underlying components.

One such method uses crimping devices to compress a seal in a cavity formed in a housing that includes a MEMS sensor attached to a stress isolator. Under such compression, the seal deforms to hermetically seal surfaces around the inside, outside and bottom of the stress isolator.

摘要: In one embodiment, a water resistant smart gauge is disclosed including a housing, a printed circuit board (PCB), a display device, a transparent circular pane, a rear cover, and one or more modules. The PCB is mounted in the housing and has one or more sets of electrical contacts, The display device is mounted in the housing. The transparent circular pane is sealed to a front side of the housing over the display device. The rear cover is sealed to a back side of the housing. The rear cover includes one or more expansion module have sealed openings around the one or more sets of electrical contacts of the PCB. The one or more modules each having a cylindrical shaft with a groove and a sealing ring mounted in the groove. When the cylindrical shaft of the one or more modules are plugged into the one or more expansion openings in the rear cover, they provide a water resistant seal for the smart gauge.
