Abstract:
A transmitting apparatus, a receiving apparatus and methods of controlling these apparatuses are provided. The transmitting apparatus includes: a baseband packet generator configured to, based on an input stream including a first type stream and a second type stream, generate a baseband packet including a header and payload data corresponding to the first type stream; a frame generator configured to generate a frame including the baseband packet; a signal processor configured to perform signal-processing on the generated frame; and a transmitter configured to transmit the signal-processed frame, wherein the header includes a type of the payload data in the baseband packet and the number of the first type stream packets in the baseband packet.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a transmitting apparatus which includes: a packet generator generating a packet including a header and a payload from an input stream including a plurality of transport stream (TS) packets; and a signal processor signal-processing the packet, wherein the header includes a base header including a first field indicating a packet type which is the TS packets, and a second field indicating a number of TS packets included in the payload, wherein the base header further includes a third field set to a first value indicating that there is no additional header or a second value indicating that there is an additional header, wherein, when the third field is set to the second value, the additional header includes a fourth field indicating a number of deleted null packets with respect to each of at least one TS packet group including consecutive TS packets, and wherein the null packets deleted with respect to each of the TS packet group precede a first TS packet or follow a last TS packet included in each of the TS packet group.
Abstract:
A method for generating a packet of transmitting apparatus is provided. The method includes: setting a value of a Deleted Null Packet (DNP) counter to zero; increasing the value for each deleted null packet preceding a non-null transport stream (TS) packet; and generating a packet comprising a header and a payload, wherein the header includes a DNP field, the payload includes the non-null TS packet, and the value of the DNP counter is used to set the DNP field.
Abstract:
Provided are a transmitting apparatus, a receiving apparatus and methods of controlling the transmission and reception. The transmitting apparatus includes: a baseband packet generator configured to, in response to input of data, generate a baseband packet for mapping the data with a physical layer; a baseband frame generator configured to generate a baseband frame including the baseband packet; a signal processor configured to signal-process the baseband frame; and a transmitter configured to transmit the baseband frame after the signal processing, wherein the baseband packet includes signaling information which indicates that the data comprises at least one of base layer data and enhancement layer data.
Abstract:
Provided are apparatuses and methods for generating and transmitting transmission frames of information data. A transmitting apparatus includes: a stream processor configured to generate a plurality of baseband frames; a frame generator configured to generate, from the plurality of baseband frames, a plurality of transmission frames which includes information data commonly provided to a fixed device and a mobile device, first parities to be used for signal processing at the fixed device, and second parities to be used for signal processing at the mobile device; and a transmitter configured to transmit the plurality of transmission frames.
Abstract:
A signal processing apparatus is provided. The signal processing apparatus includes: a packet classifier configured to receive a transport stream including a content, and classify a plurality of packets constituting the content into a plurality of packet groups according to a predetermined condition; and a transport unit configured to transport the plurality of packet groups through a plurality of signal processing routes to each of which a different signal processing method is applied.
