Abstract: A sample catching system for cleaning a drilling fluid in a drilling operation includes a first line having a first entrance valve configured to allow the drilling fluid to flow into the first line, a first chemical sensor for measuring the amount of hydrogen sulfide of the drilling fluid in the first line, and a first sample catch valve configured to allow the drilling fluid to flow out of the first line. The system also includes a second line having a second entrance valve configured to allow the drilling fluid to flow into the second line, a sample catch pump, and a controller configured to determine the amount of hydrogen sulfide is above a predetermined threshold value, and open the second entrance valve to divert drilling fluid intake from the first line to the second line, and close the first entrance valve to stop the drilling fluid from entering the first line.

Abstract: A system for deploying a fabric liner in a wellbore includes a free-to-fall sub and a shoe track. The free-to-fall sub includes a weighted compartment that is filled with a first fluid that increases the weight of the free-to-fall sub and at least one stabilizing wheel that centralizes the free-to-fall sub within the wellbore. The shoe track incudes a plurality of orifices that release a second fluid into the fabric liner. The fabric liner retains the second fluid between the shoe track and the fabric liner. The free-to-fall sub is rigidly fixed to a downhole end of the fabric liner such that the fabric liner supports the free-to-fall sub within the wellbore.

Abstract: Before, during, and after a wellbore cementing operation temperature, pressure, and other conditions of a cement slurry are monitored downhole. The monitored conditions are compared to theoretical or calculated conditions to confirm the cementing operation is carried out in downhole conditions as planned. When differences between the monitored conditions and those used in planning the cementing operation exceed an acceptable range, adjustments are made to the cementing operation to account for the differences. The adjustments include changing a composition of the cement slurry to increase its design temperature, wellbore intervention if monitored pressure reveals a backflow of cement, and proceeding with another cementing stage if the monitored conditions indicate the cement slurry has cured into a set cement.

Abstract: A system for cleaning a wellbore can include a bottom hole assembly that is designed to be run downhole into a wellbore after the wellbore has been drilled and before the wellbore has been cleaned. A control sub-assembly is mounted on and carried by the bottom hole assembly. The control sub-assembly is designed to be positioned within the wellbore. Multiple cleaning sub-assemblies are interchangeably mounted on and carried by the bottom hole assembly. Each cleaning sub-assembly is designed to be positioned within the wellbore. The multiple cleaning sub-assemblies include at least two of the following sub-assemblies: a scraping sub-assembly that scrapes an interior of the wellbore, a brushing sub-assembly that brushes the interior of the wellbore, or a magnetic sub-assembly that magnetically captures debris within the wellbore.
