Abstract: An electron-injection organic compound capable of providing a high-performance semiconductor device, and a light-emitting device including the organic compound are provided. An organic compound represented by General Formula (G1) and a light-emitting device including the organic compound are provided. Note that in General Formula (G1), R1 to R8 each independently represent any of hydrogen, an alkyl group having 1 to 6 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted cycloalkyl group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon group having 6 to 30 carbon atoms, a substituted or unsubstituted heteroaromatic hydrocarbon group having 2 to 30 carbon atoms, and a group represented by Structural Formula (R-1). Note that at least two of R1 to R8 each represent a group other than hydrogen, and one to four of R1 to R8 each represent the group represented by Structural Formula (R-1).

Abstract: A light-emitting device with a high resolution and favorable characteristics manufactured by a photolithography method is provided. In the light-emitting device, a first light-emitting device and a second light-emitting device are adjacent each other. The first light-emitting device includes a first EL layer, and the second light-emitting device includes a second EL layer. The first EL layer includes at least a first light-emitting layer and a first electron-transport layer, and the second EL layer includes at least a second light-emitting layer and a second electron-transport layer. The first electron-transport layer contains a first heteroaromatic compound and a first organic compound, and the second electron-transport layer contains a second heteroaromatic compound and a second organic compound. Edge portions of the first light-emitting layer and the first electron-transport layer are aligned, and edge portions of the second light-emitting layer and the second electron-transport layer are substantially aligned. The distance between the first light-emitting device and the second light-emitting device facing each other is 2 μm to 5 μm.

Abstract: A green phosphorescent light-emitting device with a long lifetime is provided. The light-emitting device includes a first electrode, a second electrode, and a light-emitting layer. Abstract: An increase in voltage of a light-emitting device manufactured through a step of forming an aluminum oxide film in contact with an organic compound layer is inhibited. An organic compound film is formed over a first electrode. An organic mask film containing an organic compound which has low solubility to water or a chemical solution including water as a solvent is formed over the organic compound film. An inorganic mask layer is formed over the organic mask film. Shapes of the organic mask film and the organic compound film are processed with the use of the inorganic mask layer, whereby an organic mask layer and an organic compound layer are formed. At least parts of the inorganic mask layer and the organic mask layer are removed with the use of water or a liquid including water as a solvent.
