Abstract: A see-through holographic display apparatus includes a relay optical system expanding or reducing and transferring a hologram image generated by a spatial light modulator, a noise removal filter removing noise from diffraction light of the hologram image transferred through the relay optical system, and a light path converter changing at least one of a path of the diffraction light of the hologram image transferred from the relay optical system and a path of external light.

Abstract: A holographic display apparatus and a holographic display method are provided. The holographic display apparatus determines a representative depth from 3D image data; calculates a computer generated hologram (CGH) corresponding to the representative depth on the 3D image data; obtains the modulated CGH by modulating a phase of the CGH to increase an eye box; modulates a light according to the modulated CGH and generates a hologram image; and forms the generated hologram image at the representative depth.

Abstract: A see-through type display apparatus includes an image forming unit; a relay optical system configured to transmit an image provided from the image forming unit and to form a primary imaging image; and an optical combiner configured to reimage the primary imaging image transmitted from the relay optical system and to form a multi-depth plane. The relay optical system includes a lens; a polarizer arranged at an angle with respect to an optical axis and configured to reflect light of light of a first polarization and transmit light of second polarization therethrough; a condensing mirror member configured to reflect and condense light incident from the polarizer; and a polarization converter configured to convert a polarization of light transmitted between the polarizer and the condensing mirror member.
