    Abstract: A method and system for resource allocation is provided. A method includes identifying a set of resource blocks associated with a control channel for a terminal; transmitting, to the terminal, information on the set of resource blocks on a radio resource control signal, the information including first information indicating resource blocks included in the set of resource blocks and second information indicating a number of symbols corresponding to the set of resource blocks; transmitting, to the terminal, control information including information for downlink data on the control channel identified based on the first information and the second information; and transmitting, to the terminal, the downlink data on a data channel based on the control information. The set of resource blocks includes at least one control channel resource. A search space for the control channel of the terminal is defined based on an aggregation level, a number of the at least one control channel resource, and a number of a candidate associated with the control channel.

    Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a communication method and system for converging a 5th-Generation (5G) communication system for supporting higher data rates beyond a 4th-Generation (4G) system with a technology for Internet of Things (IoT). The present disclosure may be applied to intelligent services based on the 5G communication technology and the IoT-related technology, such as smart home, smart building, smart city, smart car, connected car, health care, digital education, smart retail, security and safety services. The present invention provides a method and an apparatus which can achieve accurate time and frequency synchronization while reducing system load, in line with the design requirements for a 5G communication system. Particularly, the present invention provides a method for acquiring time and frequency synchronization by a terminal in a communication system, the method comprising the steps of: receiving a first synchronization signal from a base station; receiving a second synchronization signal from the base station; and receiving a channel state information-reference signal (CSI-RS) from the base station, and acquiring downlink time and frequency synchronization with the base station on the basis of the CSI-RS.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a communication technique, which is a convergence of IoT technology and 5G communication system for supporting higher data transmission rate beyond 4G system, and a system for same. The present invention provides a resource allocation method by a base station comprising the steps of: comparing a transmission time interval (TTI), which is for transmitting data to a terminal, with a preconfigured transmission time interval reference value; if the transmission time interval for the data transmission is shorter than the transmission time interval reference value, determining a resource allocation type for showing frequency resources allocated for the data transmission, and generating control information on the basis of the determined resource allocation type.
