摘要: This invention allows printing an image with less image deterioration with respect to a document including both text and an image. An image processing apparatus includes a pixel value acquisition unit which acquires a pixel value of a pixel as a target in an input digital image, and a pixel value correction/modification processing unit which executes a correction/modification process based on the pixel value of the pixel acquired by the pixel value acquisition unit. The pixel value correction/modification processing unit includes a contrast correcting unit which executes contrast correction based on information representing a brightness value corresponding to the pixel value of the pixel, and an intermediate color removing unit which removes intermediate color in the digital image by replacing the pixel value of the pixel by pixel values of pixels around that pixel.

摘要: There is provided an image processing apparatus for applying an adjusting process to an image including multicolor image signals. An image area including a pixel to be processed is extracted, and one representative signal value is generated from signal values corresponding to a plurality of colors of pixels included in the image area (S2501). A feature amount associated with the image area is calculated based on the representative signal value (S2503, S2505, S2511), and a substitute candidate pixel common to the plurality of colors is selected from the image area based on the calculated feature amount (S2512). Signal values of the pixel to be processed are substituted by new pixel values, which are calculated from the signal values of the pixel to be processed and signal values of the substitute candidate pixel.

摘要: A repeater used in a radio communication system and a radio transmission system locally forms in a blind zone a wireless zone in which these systems can be accessed. The repeater is capable of properly allocating a radio resource to a blind zone and a non-blind zone without having a very complex structure. Thus, the repeater has a first monitor unit that monitors a first radio signal received through a radio transmission path, a retransmission unit that retransmits said first radio signal, and a control unit that decreases an output power of the retransmission unit by setting a gain thereof to a small value when said first monitor unit detects a large load of a transmission source of said first radio signal.

摘要: When a plurality of sheets of images are laid out and outputted in one page and characteristic amounts of multivalued image data are obtained to perform preferable image correction, the characteristic amounts of all the images to be recorded in the corresponding page have been beforehand obtained to calculate preferable image correction parameters. Therefore, a waiting time until the start of actual printing has been long. To resolve such an inconvenience, an image processing apparatus of the present invention includes a correction amount deciding unit for deciding or determining an individual correction amount with respect to each of the plurality of image data, and a correcting unit for correcting the image data based on the individual correction amount, whereby the correcting unit respectively corrects the images in accordance with the correction amounts which have already been decided, in a state where the correction amount deciding unit has not completed the decision of the correction amounts for all of the image data.

摘要: In a correction processing that corrects a color deviation caused by output characteristic variations among print heads of a printing apparatus, the printing apparatus prints a test pattern that allows accurate detection of the color deviation by a visual check. More specifically, each of the patches in the test pattern is made up of two areas placed adjacent to each other. One of the two areas (upper area) is used as a test area for detecting the degree of the color deviation. Of the gradation values of C, M and Y, which make up the patch print data, the gradation values of C and M are changed among the patches making up the test pattern. The other area is used as a reference area printed with an achromatic color that represents a reference gradation value for the deviation detection. The gradation values of C, M, Y and K are determined so that a spatial frequency of dots formed in the reference area of each patch is close to the spatial frequency of the associated test area.

摘要: In an ink-jet printing apparatus for performing printing of an image using a plurality of printing heads for ejecting an ink and a printing head for ejecting a processing liquid making the ink insoluble, a rebounding mist to be generated by ejection of the ink and the processing liquid is prevented from adhering on to the vicinity of nozzles of the printing heads. Therefore, respective number of ejection of respective of the printing heads is counted. On the other hand, a threshold level is to set smaller, at greater distance between the printing head for ejecting the ink and the printing head for ejecting the processing liquid. A recovery process, such as wiping or the like is performed when the counted value of the printing head exceeds a predetermined value. By this, appropriate recovery process, such as wiping or the like can be performed depending upon deposition amount of the mist for respective printing heads.

摘要: In a magnetic tape surface treatment method and apparatus for rubbing together a magnetic tape and a lapping tape and thereby removing projections and adhered matter from the magnetic surface to the magnetic tape pressurized air is blown onto the tapes to prevent the formation of an air film between the contacting surfaces of the two tapes. This enhances the contact quality and improves the surface treatment efficiency. Also uniformity of the surface treatment effect is enhanced by simultaneously controlling the tensions in the magnetic tape before and after the two tapes make contact.
