摘要: A method and apparatus for data compression in a mobile communication network. A node performing data compression on a downlink towards a mobile terminal compresses data based on an identity of a decompression node. A determination is made that the mobile terminal is no longer receiving data from the decompression node owing to mobility the mobile terminal. An identity of a further decompression node from which the mobile terminal receives data is determined, and data is compressed based on the identity of the further decompression node. The node performing compression can therefore dynamically adapt to mobility of the terminal, potentially resulting in a shorter learning phase.

摘要: A method and apparatus for sending user plane traffic via a node located between a base station and a Serving Gateway in a mobile telecommunications network. The base station receives a message containing tunneling protocol information identifying the Serving Gateway. It sends a second message towards the node, the second message including tunneling protocol information identifying the base station and the Serving Gateway. The base station receives a third message from the node, the third message including tunneling protocol information for the base station to use towards the node, and tunneling protocol information for the Serving Gateway to use towards the node. A fourth message is sent, which includes tunneling protocol information for the Serving Gateway to use towards the node. User plane traffic can then be sent between the base station and the Serving Gateway via the node.

摘要: A method of reducing the oxygen content of a powder is provided. A canister is prepared with a getter, filled with the powder to be densified, sealed and evacuated. The canister is subjected to a hydrogen atmosphere at an elevated temperature whereby hydrogen diffuses into the canister through the walls thereof. The hydrogen forms moisture when reacted with the oxygen of the powder and the moisture in the reacted with the getter in order to remove oxygen from the powder to the getter. The atmosphere outside the canister is then altered to an inert atmosphere or vacuum, whereby hydrogen diffuses out of the canister. A dense body having a controlled amount of oxygen can thereafter be produced by conventional powder metallurgy techniques.

摘要: A diode detector that is stable and linear over a wide range of variations in both temperature and power supply voltage and can be used to regulate a.c. signals produced by devices that are responsive to control signals includes a detector diode and a first resistor in series, a capacitor connected between the junction of first resistor and the detector diode and a reference potential, and a compensator diode and a second resistor in series with each other and with the detector diode and first resistor. An input a.c. signal is provided to a first terminal of the detector diode, and a rectified signal is provided at the junction of the detector diode, the first resistor, and the capacitor. The detector diode and the compensator diode have temperature coefficients that are substantially the same, and those diodes have the same polarities. An output buffer amplifier may receive the diode detector's output signal, the buffer amplifier having an input bias current that is low relative to an average rectified signal current through the compensator diode. The detector diode and the compensator diode may be Schottky-type diodes and the output buffer amplifier may be a FET-input operational amplifier. A signal generator having a regulated output and employing the diode detector is also disclosed.

摘要: A device for distributing and dispersing highly pressurized air-saturated water, preferably for use in a flotation tank (1) of a water purification plant, is placed adjacent to inlet openings (2) through which water to be treated in the flotation tank (1) passes. The distribution and dispersion device includes a pre-dispenser (27, 28) which is arranged in a distribution pipe (21, 22) or its supply conduit (24), and which includes a perforated pipe mounted, preferably, coaxially in the distribution pipe or the supply conduit. Air-saturated water passes through the perforations or throttling holes (26) resulting in a first pressure decrease and subsequent dispersion. The water then passes to the distribution pipe (22) from which it passes through one or more openings (23) in the wall of the distribution pipe (22), and is forced out the flotation tank (1) during a further decrease in pressure and dispersion of the water.

摘要: In an arrangement for protecting the output transistors in a power amplifier against temperatures exceeding a predetermined first temperature value, a temperature sensor is provided adjacent to the output transistors to sense their temperature and influence the power amplifier when the first temperature value is reached. The temperature sensor is adapted to vary the driving current of the power amplifier inversely proportional to the temperature of the output transistors for temperature values between the first temperature value and a predetermined higher temperature value.
