Abstract:
In one aspect, the present invention provides a method of managing fluctuations in power supplied to a semiconductor processing apparatus that includes monitoring the power supplied to the apparatus to detect the occurrence of a power fluctuation event during a semiconductor processing session. Upon detection of a power fluctuation event, the semiconductor processing can be interrupted. After the end of the power fluctuation event, at least one operational parameter of the apparatus, e.g., vacuum level in an evacuated processing chamber, can be measured, and the semiconductor processing can be resumed when the measured operational parameter is within an acceptable range. The measured operational parameter can preferably include a parameter that recovers more slowly than others when adversely affected by a power fluctuation event.

Abstract:
In a seismic survey, idealized subsurface illumination is generated using idealized survey data. Then, the following three steps are performed during each of a sequence of time intervals during the seismic survey. First, an incremental portion of actual survey data is collected, using data acquisition equipment at a data acquisition location. Second, the incremental portion of actual survey data is communicated from the data acquisition location to a data processing location. Third, an incremental portion of actual subsurface illumination is generated using the incremental portions of actual survey data, to incrementally generate actual subsurface illumination at the data processing location. It is determined if additional data acquisition is desirable by comparison of the idealized subsurface illumination and the actual subsurface illumination, in the data processing location. Then, any desirable additional data acquisition is performed in the data acquisition location before the data acquisition equipment leaves the data acquisition location.
Abstract:
A drill pipe has a tubular body with a first end, a second end, an outer wall and an inner wall. A first connection end is connected to the first end of the tubular body and a second connection end is connected with the second end of the tubular body. The first connection end and the second connection end have an inner wall and an outer wall, the outer wall is substantially cylindrical in shape and the inner wall defines a central cavity. The first connection end and the second connection end are sized to allow for mating with a corresponding drill pipe. The outer wall of the tubular body is substantially cylindrical in shape. The inner wall of the tubular body defines a central cavity that is in fluid communication with the central cavity of the first connection end and the second connection end. The inner wall has at least one land and at least one groove. The at least one groove has at least one twist along the length of the tubular body.
Abstract:
Example roll-up doors are disclosed. An example roll-up door includes a track system and a curtain. The curtain blocks a doorway when a leading edge is at a closed position and unblocks the doorway when the leading edge is at an open position. The roll-up door further includes a track roller to vertically travel along a track system. The track roller is to be rotatable relative to the track system. The roll-up door also includes a windbar to be coupled to the track roller. The windbar is closer to the lintel when the leading edge of the curtain is at the open position than when the leading edge is at the closed position. The windbar is to be vertically movable with the track roller and to be rotatable relative to the track roller and rotatable relative to the track system.
Abstract:
A method for enabling removal and replacement of a failed actuator module of a brake assembly that includes multiple actuators (27) for compressing a brake disk stack (12), wherein the failed actuator has failed in an extended position applying compressive force to the brake disk stack and at least one of the other actuators remains operative. The method comprises the steps of causing one or more of the operative actuators to apply to the brake disk stack a compressive force greater than the compressive force exerted by the failed actuator whereby the reactionary force acting on the failed actuator will be reduced, and removing the failed actuator after the reactionary load on the failed actuator has been reduced.
Abstract:
A gaming system utilizes watermarks in files to provide file authentication. In one embodiment, the files contain images or video clips. Selected frames of such images or video clips contain a watermark, which is compared to a key stored in the gaming system. The key may be stored in a non-volatile random access memory in the gaming system. In one embodiment, the memory is not modifiable by a customer.
Abstract:
A method of transporting natural gas by cooling and pressurizing retained natural gas to liquefy the retained natural gas within a fiber reinforced plastic pressure vessel.
Abstract:
A sports training target system is disclosed. The system includes a target anchor having a support post that includes a slight angle in the forward direction. The system includes a target section having at least one target arm which is rotatably secured to the anchor support post. When a ball is thrown by a pitcher and it strikes the target arm, the target section will partially rotate around the anchor support post. The angle in the support post, together with gravity, will force the taret section back to its original position facing the user.
Abstract:
There is disclosed a caisson and a method of using same. The caisson is for creating electrical power from a tidal stream. The power may be used to create hydrogen for hydrogen fuel cells. The device includes a body having an inlet and an outlet to allow the passage of water there through. A compartment extends between the inlet and the outlet and provides at least one paddle wheel rotatably mounted within the compartment for contact with incoming water. The compartment may be pressurized to reduce the volume of water present in the compartment when the caisson is submerged in the stream. The paddle wheel is connected to suitable pumps and generators in order to harness the energy from the mechanical energy created by the paddle wheel.
