Abstract: In a multilayer coil component, a part filled with a resin and a void part not filled with the resin exist between a plurality of metal magnetic particles in an element body, one main surface of the element body is a mounting surface with respect to an external electronic component, and the edge of an external electrode is positioned on the mounting surface. In the element body, a high void region where the porosity caused by the void part is higher than the porosity of the other part in the element body extends from the edge of the external electrode on the mounting surface toward an end surface of the element body.

Abstract: A ferrite composition includes main-phase particles, first sub-phase particles, second sub-phase particles, and a grain boundary. At least 10% or more of the main-phase particles contain a portion whose Zn concentrations monotonously decrease from a particle surface toward a particle central part along a length of 50 nm or more. The first sub-phase particles contain Zn2SiO4. The second sub-phase particles contain SiO2. A total area ratio of the first sub-phase particles and the second sub-phase particles is 30.5% or more.

Abstract: The inventors have newly found that, even when a composition of a first element body portion and a composition of a second element body portion are different from each other, a high bonding strength at an interface between the first element body portion and the second element body portion can be obtained when both the first element body portion and the second element body portion contain Zn2SiO4 as a constituent component. That is, when the first element body portion and the second element body portion contain Zn2SiO4, a bonding strength at the interface is improved compared to a case in which the first element body portion and the second element body portion do not contain Zn2SiO4.

Abstract: Provided is a glass ceramics sintered body including a glass phase and a ceramics phase dispersed in the glass phase, in which the ceramics phase includes alumina grains and zirconia grains, the glass phase includes an MO—Al2O3—SiO2—B2O3 based glass, in which “M” is an alkaline earth metal, and an area ratio of the alumina grains is 0.05 to 12% and the area ratio of the zirconia grains is 0.05 to 6% on the cross section of the sintered body. According to the invention, a glass ceramics sintered body, capable of a low temperature sintering having a low dielectric constant and a sufficient strength, and a coil electronic component using thereof can be provided.

At least one of the plurality of coil conductors has a spiral shape and has conductor portions adjacent to each other when viewed from a direction along a coil axis of the coil. The conductor portion includes a straight conductor portion extending in a straight line and a connecting conductor portion connecting the straight conductor portion and constituting a corner portion of the coil conductor. The metal magnetic particles between the connecting conductor portions adjacent to each other are lower in density than the metal magnetic particles between the straight conductor portions adjacent to each other.

Abstract: In a multilayer coil component, a ferrite element body includes a first element body portion and a second element body portion adjacent to each other in an axial direction of the multilayer coil, in which a dielectric constant of the second element body portion is lower than a dielectric constant of the first element body portion, and a magnetic permeability of the second element body portion is higher than a magnetic permeability of the first element body portion. The inventors newly found that the first element body portion and the second element body portion contribute to coil characteristics when a coil winding portion is provided to extend over the first element body portion and the second element body portion. In the multilayer coil component, desired coil characteristics can be obtained by adjusting proportions of the first element body portion and the second element body portion in the ferrite element body.
