摘要: An image forming apparatus such as a printer has: an image forming unit which forms an electrostatic latent image onto a charged photosensitive drum, deposits toner onto the image, and forms a visible image; a belt arranged so as to run freely in contact with the image forming unit; a temperature sensor which detects a temperature of the belt; and a controller which controls an image forming process on the basis of the detected temperature. Since the belt temperature is detected and the printing process is controlled on the basis of the detected temperature, an increase in temperature of the drum and an increase in temperature in the printer can be suppressed. Thus, the flowability of the toner in each image forming unit does not deteriorates and image quality can be improved.

摘要: The present invention provides an apparatus having a carriage, in which, even when a toothed belt having a fine tooth pitch and low tooth height is used to drive the carriage, a jumping phenomenon of the toothed belt is positively prevented to thereby achieve stable scanning of the carriage without requiring a driving motor having a large capacity and an additional carriage position detecting device. A member for preventing the jumping of the toothed belt is disposed to create a predetermined gap with respect to a back surface of the toothed belt and is inclined with respect to the back surface by a predetermined angle at a position where the member is opposed to the back surface of a portion of the toothed belt to which the carriage is connected, in the vicinity of the driving pulley for the toothed belt connected to the carriage on which a head is mounted.

摘要: The present invention relates to an objective lens, an optical pickup, and an optical information processing apparatus. Although coma aberration of approximately 0.22 λ rms, 0.14 λ rms, and 0.09 λ rms is generated in a case where blue type, DVD type, and CD type media is tilted 1 degree, respectively, the coma aberration from medium tilt can be corrected by lens tilt by using an objective lens satisfying the conditions of |CLx/CDx|≧1, wherein CDx (x=1,2,3) is the value of each least square error (unit: λ rms) of the third order coma aberration components generated per angle when the substrates of the medium is tilted, wherein CLx (x=1,2,3) is the value of each least square error (unit: λ rms) of the third order coma aberration components generated per angle when the objective lens is tilted during the converging and irradiating to the medium.

摘要: An optical reflection sensor emits light and its reflection from a target object is received. A signal processor carries out a measurement on the received reflected light such as the distance to the target object each time the reflected light is received. Repeatability of measured values is calculated and displayed on a display device incorporated into the housing of the sensor. The display device may have two display areas such that the calculated repeatability and the measured value can be displayed simultaneously. The calculated repeatability may be compared with a specified threshold value, with the result of the comparison displayed. The housing may also incorporate an input device through which a required level of accuracy may be set.

摘要: In a structure of an ink tank having a deformable sheet that constitutes the tank and a spring for imparting a negative pressure, unstableness of the negative pressure attributable to the deformation of the sheet as a result of ink consumption is prevented. For this purpose, a plate-like member is joined to a top section of the sheet formed in a convex shape, and the spring for generating the negative pressure in the tank is mounted to the same member. This makes it possible to maintain a high volume ratio of the ink tank and to achieve stableness of the negative pressure by adequately regulating the deformation of the sheet when the sheet is displaced in the direction of retracting toward the interior of the tank as a result of a reduction of the amount of ink in the tank.
