摘要: Textile materials, including paper webs, treated with a polyvinylamine polymer and a second agent that interacts with the polyvinylamine polymer is disclosed. The second agent added with the polyvinylamine polymer can be, for instance, a polymeric anionic reactive compound or a polymeric aldehyde-functional compound. When incorporated into a paper web, the combination of the polyvinylamine polymer and the second agent provide improved strength properties, such as wet strength properties. In an alternative embodiment, the polyvinylamine polymer and the second polymer can be applied to a textile material for increasing the affinity of the textile material for acid dyes.

摘要: Disclosed is a process for treating cellulosic fibers using an alkali metal hydroxide. The process first prepares the cellulosic fibers as a high consistency mixture with water and then adds an alkali metal hydroxide. The high consistency process is quite efficient and has been found to produce cellulosic fibers that are essentially uniformly treated. Also disclosed is a handsheet prepared from the treated cellulosic fibers for use is disposable absorbent products.

摘要: A system and method for the dynamic allocation of resources based on fairness, throughput, and user behavior measurement. A resource allocation decision can be made based on an index value computed by a selection index function. A fairness coefficient and a throughput coefficient, which represent the significance of fairness and throughput can be computed utilizing a reinforcement learning algorithm. The degree of fairness and throughput coefficient can be varied while allocating resources. A user behavior coefficient with respect to a user can be computed to determine the degree of cooperativeness of the user with other users and the value of user behavior coefficient can be updated each time it interacts with the system.

摘要: Methods and systems for identifying a trustable workflow based on a comprehensive trust model. One or more trustable links between two or more abstract services among a number of combinations of concrete services can be searched and the trustable link combined to realize an abstract workflow so as to construct a candidate trustable workflow space. The K trustable workflows can be determined by randomly selecting the trustable link with respect to each pair of connected abstract services and combining the selected trustable links. The trustable link in the workflow can be selected to be replaced with another candidate trustable link to provide a higher selection probability to the trustable link in a critical path.

摘要: An apparatus for implementing branch intensive algorithms is disclosed. The apparatus includes a processor containing a plurality of ALUs and a plurality of result registers. Each result register has a guard input which allows the ALU to write a result to the register upon receipt of a selection signal at the guard input. A lookup table is dynamically programmed with logic to implement an upcoming branching portion of program code. Upon evaluation of the branch conditions of the branching portion of code, the lookup table outputs a selection signal for writing the correct results of the branching portion of code based on the evaluation of the branch condition statements and the truth table programmed into the lookup table to the result register.
