摘要: Systems and techniques for managing user data privacy are described. Upon identification of a user device as a candidate for performing data collection relating to network performance experienced by the device, a network operator on whose behalf the data collection is to be performed is identified, and user consent information associated with the user device is examined to determine if a user of the device has given consent for data collection on behalf of the network operator. If the user has given consent, the user device is configured for data collection.

摘要: To address the need for a dispatch mobile (303, 305, 307) to more quickly make a call, in the preferred embodiment of the present invention those remote units operating in a dispatch mode (303, 305, 307) will receive a first slot cycle, while those remote units not operating in a dispatch mode (302, 304, 306, 308) will receive a second slot cycle. The second slot cycle is greater than the first slot cycle, so that those remote units operating in dispatch mode (303, 305, 307) will “wake up” during the slot cycle normally utilized for interconnect calls. Because shorter slot cycles are utilized for remote units operating in dispatch mode (303, 305, 307), the time it takes to make a dispatch call is greatly reduced. Additionally the minimum slot cycle duration typically used for standard calls remains unchanged, greatly conserving battery life.

摘要: Various communication systems may benefit from appropriate correlation of failure reports. For example, communication systems of the third generation partnership project (3GPP) may benefit from correlating radio link failure and minimization of drive test reports, particularly with respect to self-organized networks mobility robustness optimization.

摘要: A method at a user equipment in an LTE system includes selecting one of a number of CDMA systems, and signaling indication(s) of the selected CDMA system to a network element. The network element receives indications) of CDMA system(s), which correspond to requested action(s) by a UE. The network element routes information corresponding to the requested action(s) to the CDMA system(s). Another network element in the LTE system signals to the UE indications of a mapping of a number of CDMA systems to associated ones of LTE system(s). The other network element receives signaling from the UE including indication(s) of selected CDMA system(s) selected by the UE.

摘要: A method and system are disclosed allowing for determining those users of multiple users who satisfy desired condition(s), where characteristics of the users in at least some embodiments vary dynamically. In at least one embodiment, the method includes receiving at a server device a request for a determination regarding which of a plurality of users satisfies a plurality of conditions respectively relating to a plurality of user characteristics, and obtaining at the server device a conditions specification. Additionally, the method includes accessing at least one repository in which is stored information regarding the users to obtain at least some of the information, the information concerning the user characteristics. The method also includes making a determination regarding which of the users satisfies the plurality of conditions, obtaining at the first server device updated information from the at least one repository, re-evaluating the determination, and sending output information regarding the re-evaluated determination.

摘要: An electroencephalogram (EEG) utilizing epileptiform activity detection, warning and recording system adapted for use by non-healthcare professionals or healthcare professionals. The system is simple enough for use by untrained personnel and will be self-contained, not requiring technical setup or point of use maintenance. The system includes a small number of passive or active scalp electrodes for capturing the electrical signals in the subject's brain allowing for detection of epileptiform activity. The system will recognize epileptiform activity and will either transmit signals upon detection of epileptiform activity to either a localized warning device or to a cellular or radio receiving device. The system will note epileptiform activity in a recording component and allow for review of the epileptiform data to allow non-clinical and clinical personnel to verify such activity.

摘要: A portable navigation device is provided that includes integrated language dictionary/translation features. The navigation device includes a user interface configured to enable an operator to enter navigation instructions as well as language dictionary/translation instructions. A receiver is provided that is configured to receive signals from global positioning system (GPS) satellites. Memory in the device stores language dictionary/translation information. A processor module receives the navigation instruction and language translation instruction, obtains obtaining navigation information based on the navigation instruction, obtains language translation information from the memory based on the language translation instruction entered by the operator. An output is provided for presenting the navigation information and the language translation information to the operator (e.g. audibly and/or visually).
