摘要: A method is described which provides a synchronized HO of a mobile device. The method includes receiving a HO command. A determination is made of whether the HO command includes an indication of UL resource allocations. A C-RNTI is waited for in DL signaling if the HO command does not include the indication of UL resource allocations. If the HO command includes the indication of UL resource allocations, transmitting occurs based on the UL resource allocations. The method may be performed as a result of execution of computer program instructions stored in a computer readable memory medium. An apparatus is also described.

摘要: A network sends an indication of discontinuous reception period (ldle_Mode_DRX_Period) and an indication of number of paging groups (Paging_Group_Count). Paging occasions for a user equipment are determined by a predetermined formula. One exemplary formula is SFN mod IDLE_Mode_DRX_Period=(IDLE_Mode_DRX_Period div Paging_Group_Count)*(ID) mod (Paging_Group_Count); where SFN is system frame number and ID is the identifier of the user equipment, which can be IMSI or some value derived from IMSI. The UE's temporary ID is sent during a determined paging occasion, which maps to a paging channel on which the page is sent. Options for restricting the paging occasion to less than a frame, and for offsetting the paging occasions from that of the above formula are detailed.

摘要: A system and method by which individual user equipment items can be informed about subframes re-used or exceptionally used for unicast transmission. In various embodiments, a dedicated indication is transmitted to each item of user equipment. This indication may comprise, for example, a dedicated message transmitted to those user equipment items that will get additional unicast downlink allocations in the re-used subframes. In other embodiments, common broadcast signaling is used to indicate subframe re-use to all items of user equipment. This signaling may be transmitted on a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) or on a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) as a common broadcast message.

摘要: A method for performing cell re-selection in a cellular network includes a subscriber terminal measuring received powers of neighbour cells in accordance with system information received from a current cell, selecting one of the neighbour cells as a new cell, the subscriber terminal receiving a part of the system information sent by the new cell, calculating the time used for receiving the system information of the new cell by employing the length information in the system information part sent by the new cell, and deciding whether to continue the re-selection of said new cell on the basis of the calculated time.

摘要: Concluding the validity of an uplink synchronization parameter, such as a timing advance, in a packet-switched radio system. The method includes: detecting (802) an uplink synchronization parameter; measuring (804) an interval from the detection of the uplink synchronization parameter; and comparing (806, 808) the measured interval with a predetermined threshold and, if the measured interval is shorter than the predetermined threshold, concluding (810) that the detected uplink synchronization parameter is still valid, or else concluding (812) that the detected uplink synchronization parameter is no more valid.

摘要: A method, receiving device, network element, system and computer program product for controlling discontinuous reception at a receiving device of a communication network are disclosed. A regular discontinuous reception cycle of a discontinuous reception scheme is set, and this regular discontinuous reception cycle is switched to a shorter temporary discontinuous reception cycle or is switched off, in response to an event which triggers a reply of the communication network to the receiving device. Thereby, delays of network replies can be shortened or controlled in case discontinuous reception (DRX) cycles are implemented at the receiving device.

摘要: A method includes receiving information to be used in response to failure, while a UE is in a connected state with a network, of a network connection between the user equipment and a current cell. The received information is to be used by the UE to search for another cell to reestablish the network connection. In response to the failure, searching, based on the received information, for another cell to reestablish the network connection. Another method includes determining, in a network, information to be used by a UE in response to failure of a network connection between the UE and a current cell. The information is to be used by the UE in response to the failure occurring while the UE is in a connected state with the network and to be used to search for another cell to reestablish the network connection. Apparatus and program products are disclosed.

摘要: An adjacent cell is determined to be a private cell, and then a measurement report of it that includes an identifier for the private cell is sent from a UE to the UE's serving network node. Methods, apparatus and computer readable media storing a program are detailed. In exemplary non-limiting embodiments: the identifier is at least a TA ID for the private cell's CSG network, where the UE receives the TA ID over a broadcast channel/system information of the serving network node; the TA ID may be a short TA ID received over a primary broadcast channel of the serving network node; the identifier comprises the TA ID and either a LI cell ID or a CSG cell ID; and if the UE is not a member of the CSG network it sends the measurement report only in response to a command received from the serving network node.
