摘要: A TV conference apparatus includes a main body, a plurality of monitors, arms for connecting the monitors to the main body such that they are free to turn about a vertical axis, and a camera disposed to an upper portion of the main body to pick up an image of an entire circumference. The plurality of monitors and the camera are disposed integrally with the main body. The TV conference apparatus can switch a first state, in which the plurality of monitors are disposed forward of the main body in line with each other, with a second state, in which the plurality of monitors are disposed sideward of the main body.

摘要: In a serial bus network, an environment is provided, in which the serial bus is divided to two local buses and a specific terminal connected to one of the local buses can reliably occupy other terminals connected to the other local bus without influence on the terminals connected to the local buses. A specific terminal is connected to a local bus 101, to which an inner portal 3 is connected, and an ID information thereof is preliminarily recorded in a ROM 8. After a power source is turned on, the specific terminal connected to the side of the inner portal 3 is detected according to the ID information from the ROM 8. An ID information of all of nodes connected to a local bus 104, to which an outer portal 4 is connected, is read out and stored in a control portion 5. A bus reset is generated on the local bus 101. In order to give a connection information of the local bus 104, a self-ID packet is generated by the control portion 5 and transmits it through a dedicated PHY 6.

摘要: The present invention provides a face alignment device and a face alignment method, which can realize face alignment with a simple structure, a short period of time for adjustment, high productivity, high accuracy and without causing breakage and damage of the object. A face alignment device of the present invention comprises two units that are each provided with: a convex semi-spherical block 3 having a contact surface 3a that makes contact with a clamp member 5 for securing an object 7 and a convex semi-spherical surface 3b on the opposite side of the contact surface 3a; and a base block 1 or 2 having a concave portion 4 corresponding to the semi-spherical surface 3b of the convex semi-spherical block 3 for rotatably holding the convex semi-spherical block 3, wherein the two units are arranged such that their contact surfaces 3a face each other. The clamp member 5 securing the object 5 is attached to the contact surfaces 3a of the respective units at eccentric positions from the center axes of the convex semi-spherical blocks 3. This is advantageous since a load required for rotational sliding between each of the semi-spherical surfaces of the convex semi-spherical blocks and each of the concave portions of the base blocks can be small.

摘要: In a telephone power source circuit, a direct current from a network is used to charge an input capacitor via an input current limiting resistor. A resultantly charged voltage is inputted to and is converted by a DC/DC converter to produce an output voltage. In parallel with the input current limiting resistor, a limit removing unit including a switching transistor is arranged. The output voltage is delayed by a delay circuit to activate a driving transistor, which drives the switching transistor. The input voltage to the converter is monitored by an input voltage sensor. Therefore, the telephone power source circuit copes with a plurality of hubs of different power supplying specifications in an internet (IP) telephone network in which telephones are connected to a local-area network of the IEEE802.3 standard and the like.

摘要: A system for measuring quality-of-service (QoS) provided to each connection included in a stream of packets and allowing a bottleneck to be identified is disclosed. When a packet enters a network at a node or passes through a via-point node, its destination node in the network is determined based on its source and final destination addressee. Feature data identifying the inflow or passing packet is forwarded to the egress at the destination node. At the egress, it is determined whether an outflow packet captured at the egress is identical to the inflow or passing packet by feature data comparison. When they match. QoS for that packet provided by the network can be computed by detecting a difference between inflow time stamp and outflow time stamp thereof.

摘要: A switching process includes an SRAM/CAM storing registration data including a forwarding database used for packet-forwarding and a DRAM storing packet data. The registration data including the forwarding database of the SRAM/CAM for packet-forwarding is stored into the DRAM as a copy of the registration data, and the registration data of the DRAM is used to refresh the registration data of the SRAM/CAM for a predetermined time interval. A data error in the SRAM/CAM caused by a soft-error is rewritten to normal data by periodical refreshing so that data is guaranteed with relatively low cost and the reliability of the network apparatus is improved.

摘要: A tape attaching apparatus includes: a chamber having an airtight space formed therein; a rubber sheet that partitions the airtight space into first and second airtight spaces and has an upper sheet on which a wafer is placed; a tape frame that holds a tape above the rubber sheet; and first and second supply/exhaust tubes that switch pressurization and depressurization of the first and second airtight spaces. In pressurizing the second airtight space and expanding the rubber sheet to lift the wafer to be attached to the tape, after bringing the first and second airtight spaces into a vacuum state, the wafer is attached to the tape while an amount of pressurization of the second airtight space is controlled to change an expansion rate of the rubber sheet from a low speed to a high speed stepwisely.

摘要: An image reading device includes: a CCD for reading an image on a document to output an image signal; a light source for switchingly emitting visible light and non-visible light; and lighting control means for controlling lighting periods of the light source. The lighting control means is adapted to perform control such that a first light source lighting period for applying non-visible light is longer than a second light source lighting period for applying visible light. The image reading device also includes splitting means for splitting the image signals outputted from the CCD into an image signal upon application of visible light and an image signal upon application of non-visible light.
