摘要: Implementations of fuel gauges may include a voltage sensor coupled with a memory, a processor coupled with the memory, a mode control logic circuit coupled with the voltage sensor, and a sampling timer coupled with the voltage sensor. The memory may include a plurality of relative state of charge (RSOC) values of a battery. The plurality of RSOC values may be used to calculate a plurality of internal resistance values. The fuel gauge may be configured to either increase, decrease, or maintain a sampling frequency based upon a measured power being drawn by a load coupled to the battery.

摘要: A method for managing a plurality of rechargeable electrical energy storage modules arranged in parallel in an electric vehicle is provided. The method includes: separating the modules into at least two groups; and supplying power from one of the groups at a time. The method also includes a step of replacing a faulty module from a group that is supplying power, known as the active group, with an available module from another group, known as the available group. The invention also relates to a system using such a method and to an electric vehicle using such a method or system.

摘要: A power source apparatus has a load following function. The power source apparatus includes a distributed power source configured to output electric power and a controller configured to control the electric power output of the distributed power source. The controller is configured to acquire an evaluation function including an operation history of the power source apparatus and set an output condition for the power source apparatus on the basis of the evaluation function and a response characteristic for load following. The controller is also configured to control the load following to supply electric power from the distributed power source on the basis of the output condition upon forward power flow or reverse power flow being detected by a detector configured to detect forward power flow and reverse power flow relative to a power grid to which the power source apparatus is connected.

摘要: An in-vehicle power supply apparatus supplies power to an external load while bypassing the occurrence of an overcurrent, even when there is a failure on a main battery side or a failure on a sub-battery side includes a main battery and a sub-battery and two relays. One of the relays is connected to the main battery via the other relay, and transitions from a closed to an open state when an overcurrent flows thereto after the other relay transitions from the closed state to the open state. The other relay transitions from the closed state to the open state when an overcurrent flows thereto. The sub-battery is connected to the main battery via both of the relays. The main battery is connected to a backup load, bypassing both of the relays. A sub-power supply path connects the sub-battery and the backup load via the one relay.

摘要: Various systems and methods for enhancing the performance and utilization of a battery system are described. In one method, a configuration schedule for a battery system is determined based on communications received from an external unit and the cells of the battery system are reconfigured according to the determined configuration schedule. In another method, a sequence of one or more pulses is used for energy transfer from or to at least one cell of the battery system, wherein at least one parameter of one of the sequence and the one or more pulses, is varied in a random manner. The above-noted pulse sequence may be utilized while the battery system is not supplying power to an external load.

摘要: In a power control system, a control device acquires at least one of information about an external environment (result or predicted temperature) of a facility and information on a parameter associated with power consumption (production plan) in an internal environment of the facility and calculates a correlation between these pieces of information and actual consumed power. The control device predicts consumed power of the facility on the basis the correlation that is calculated and information such as predicted temperature and determines an upper limit set value of power supplied from an electrical grid to the facility on the basis of a result of the prediction. The control device supplies power charged in a storage battery to the facility when the consumed power of the facility exceeds the upper limit set value.
