摘要: An improved screwed fastening system for railway rails is proposed to allow rail fastening clips to be moved onto and off the rail more easily, facilitating track installation and maintenance. One improvement comprises providing in the screwed fastening system a clip guiding device, for guiding the rail fastening clip whilst it is being driven, which has an asymmetrically-located hole for receiving the screw-threaded shank of a screwbolt. Another improvement comprises providing in the screwed fastening system a rail fastening clip and screwbolt assembly which have inter-engaging driving portions. In each case, rotation of the screwbolt in one direction brings about translational movement of the rail bearing portion of the clip away from the screwbolt, and rotation of the screwbolt in the opposite direction brings about translational movement of the rail bearing portion of the clip towards the screwbolt.

摘要: An anchoring device for use in a railway rail fastening assembly which employs a resilient railway rail fastening clip to fasten a railway rail, comprises a body having a front portion which is configured to provide a first load bearing surface extending alongside the rail foot when the device is in use, and first and second side faces respectively located on opposite sides of the body and configured to extend transversely away from the first portion. The device comprises first and second projecting portions, the first projecting portion extending outwardly from the first side face of the body and providing a first additional load bearing surface which is set back from the first load bearing surface, and the second projecting portion extending outwardly from the second side face of the body and providing a second additional load bearing surface which is set back from the first load bearing surface.

摘要: Railway rail fastening apparatus, for suspending a railway rail at discrete locations along its length above a rail foundation, comprises two rail suspending assemblies located when in use one on each side of the rail. Each assembly comprises an elastic member for supporting the head of the rail on one side thereof and a bracket for applying a lateral clamping force to the elastic member. The rail suspending assembly on one side of the rail is located such that the center line of the assembly is offset with respect to that of the rail suspending assembly on the other side of the rail by x mm along the longitudinal axis of the rail, where x is 50≧x>0 mm.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a resilient rail clip comprises bending a rod, made of metal having a hardness value falling within a known hardness value range, into a predetermined shape and then subjecting the bent rod to a cold setting process in order to induce in the bent rod a predetermined amount of permanent set (S). One cold setting process comprises applying a first load (F0) to part of the bent rod so as to cause a first amount of deflection of that part of the bent rod, which first load (F0) is a predetermined load having a value equal to or greater than that required to reach the yield point of metal having the highest hardness value in the said hardness value range, measuring the first amount of deflection (dX) of the said part of the bent rod achieved by applying the predetermined first load (F0), determining, on the basis of the measured deflection amount (dX), either (i) a second load (F0+ΔFX), which, when applied to the said part of the bent rod, will cause the bent rod to acquire the predetermined amount of permanent set (S), or (ii) a second amount of deflection (dX+ΔdX) of the said part of the bent rod required in order to bring about in the bent rod the predetermined amount of permanent set (S), and applying the second load (F0+ΔFX) to the said part of the bent rod or deflecting the said part of the bent rod by the determined second amount of deflection (dX+ΔdX). An alternative cold setting process comprises deflecting part of the bent rod by a predetermined first amount (d0) by applying a first load (FX) having a value equal to or greater than that required to reach the yield point of metal having the highest hardness value in the said hardness value range, measuring the amount of the first load (FX) required to achieve the predetermined first amount of deflection (d0), determining, on the basis of the measured load, either (i) a second deflection amount (d0+ΔdX) required in order to bring about in the bent rod the predetermined amount of permanent set (S), or (ii) a second load (FX+ΔFX), which, when applied to the said part of the bent rod, will cause the bent rod to acquire the predetermined amount of permanent set (S), and deflecting the said part of the bent rod by the determined second deflection amount (d0+ΔdX) or applying the determined second load (FX+ΔFX) to the said part of the bent rod.

For securing a rail to the necessary extent with simple design means and in space-saving form, it is suggested that the holder (24, 26) is arranged detachably in the concrete sleeper (16) or in a plate element resting thereon and is connected to the concrete sleeper by a bolt element.
