摘要： An articular support system for dental model sets includes a fixture having an upper portion carried by a lower base portion. The base portion has a base plate which connects with an inner support post. This post is formed with a vertically extending inner passageway. The upper portion includes an inner and outer plate connected by a releasable hinge. To use the system a base of a dental model of a person's upper teeth and lower teeth are each molded with front and rear indentations. Each model then fits into a bracket having spaced apart end walls. On an inner side of each end wall is a locking tab that fits into the respective model indentations. The lower teeth model bracket next is affixed to the fixture base plate with mastic. The upper model teeth then are placed in contact with the lower model teeth to reproduce the bit that occurs inthe person's mouth. Next, the upper portion inner plate is loosely positioned in the base portion post passageway. With the outer plate positioned on top of the upper teeth model bracket, the plate and bracket are joined together with mastic. Lastly, the upper portion inner plate is secured with mastic in the post passageway. During preparation of crowns, dentures and like appliances, the models may be readily removed from the fixture and then reattached with the bite positioning accurately and reliably reproduced.

摘要： Duplicatable maxillary denture materials, e.g., partial or complete dentures, wax-ups and bite blocks, are prepared employing the relator assembly and process of the invention. The process involves forming the maxillary denture materials from a rough maxillary cast of the patient's mouth that has a base and an expression of the maxillary alveolar ridge including the anterior palatine papilla and hamular notches. In the process, the cast is suspended over a horizontally extending, flat occlusal base member at a predetermined height corresponding to the proposed incisal length of the denture materials with members of substantially equal height, located on the occlusal table, that contact the cast at the palatine papilla and hamular notches. The base of the suspended rough cast is luted to a maxillary base member that is located over and substantially parallel to the occlusal base member to form a cast whose base is parallel to the hamular-incise plane. Thereafter denture elements, individual artificial teeth or bite-block elements are arranged on the occlusal base member in a predetermined location relative to the cast luted to the maxillary base member and corresponding to the proposed labial drape of the patient. The aforesaid denture elements, individual teeth or bite-block elements are then luted to the alveolar ridge of the cast mounted on the maxillary base member.

摘要： A dental model supporting articulator has an upper articulation tongue and a lower articulation tongue and pivotal means connecting the tongues to each other; first and second dental model mounting plastic slide members are removably mounted on the upper and lower articulation tongue members. Each slide member has retaining flanges and positioning means engageable with an articulation tongue member for insuring that the slide member is always accurately positioned in a single unchanging position on the tongue member; each slide also has anchor means engageable with a connecting mass of self-setting hardenable material in which the gum portion of a dental model is embedded so that upon hardening of the connecting mass the model supporting slide, the connecting mass and the model constitute a unitary structure which can be removed from the articulation tongue but can be returned to its original position on the articulation tongue.
