摘要: An artificial teeth articulator according to the present invention has a structure comprising: a height control means installed between a holder and a table, for controlling the height of the table installed on a base plate and a top plate by using the holder; a width control means installed on the table, for controlling individually from five directions the width of a tray seated on the table so that the periphery of the tray is held by means of pressing force; and a jaw gap control means installed so that the horizontal tilt of the table can be individually controlled from three different directions through graduations formed on a support rod, when supporting the table by vertically sliding along the outer circumference of the support rod.

摘要: The invention provides a method for creating a physical teeth model. The method comprises the following steps: providing a virtual three dimensional (3D) representation of a patient's dentition that comprises at least a region of the teeth that includes a tooth stump on which a crown is to be fitted or a region on to which a bridge is to be fitted; and preparing a physical model of the jaws of a subject from a blank, based on information from said virtual 3D image.

摘要: A model and die system has a working quadrant of parallelepiped construction and a opposing quadrant of the same construction. The working quadrant has an upper flat surface disposed in confronting relation to a lower flat surface of the opposing quadrant. Pin-receiving bores are formed in the working quadrant and mounting members depend from the opposing quadrant. Each cast tooth supported by the working quadrant has a pin depending from it and is fully seatable against the upper flat surface. Each cast tooth mounted on the upper flat surface is secured to a mounting post that depends from the upper flat surface. In a first embodiment, the quadrants are held in spaced apart, adjustable vertical relation to one another by a pair of parallel guideposts. In a second embodiment, an articulated hinge performs that function. In a third embodiment, a semicircular base opposes a semicircular top member.

摘要: A method of determining the position of an upper jaw cast and a lower jaw cast using a dental articulator provides a disposable plastic holder in the lower jaw cast and mounts it in a metal bracket bar fitted to the base of the articulator whose telescoping post allows adjustment of the height of the head above the base. A bracket bar mounted on the head and spring biased so that this bracket bar can move in a plane and can pivot about a horizontal axis receives another plastic disposable holder which can fit into a cavity in the upper casting. Once the castings are properly positioned, a hardenable composition can be cast into the recess to embed the holder in the upper casting.

摘要: A dental articulator having a upper support member for supporting a dental cast and a lower support member for supporting a second dental cast. A polycentric hinge joint is provided for simulating the temporomandibular joint of a patient. The polycentric hinge joint comprises a fossae block secured to the upper support member and a condyle member secured to the lower support member which engages a fossae recess in the fossae block. A spring is provided for securing the lower support member to the upper support member and simulating the muscles used for mastication. A pair of wires are provided for simulating the ligaments of a patient. The upper end of each wire passes through an opening in the upper support member. The lower end of each wire is secured to the lower support member. A limiting block is provided on the upper end of each of the wires so as to restrict its movement. Removable adjustment rods are provided at the forward end and rear end of the articulator so that the upper and lower support members may be spaced apart a desired distance.

摘要: This invention is an articulator for adjustably supporting dental casts (used in making dentures) in a position corresponding to the actual position of the jaws for which the dentures are to be made. This articulator provides a device whereby the upper casting may be moved vertically relative to the lower casting, may be pivoted relative to the lower casting in the same manner that the human jaws pivot, and may be moved forwardly or backwardly along an axis extending from the front to the rear of the castings. In addition, the castings may partake of any two or all three of the above adjustments, as may be necessary to depict the true occlusal planes of the patient''s original teeth.
