    摘要： An article metering system is generally provided. The system is primarily comprised of a conveyor section, for receipt of a bulk flow of articles and conveyance of spaced apart metered article groups downstream of an ingress portion thereof, and an article metering station characterized by an article metering apparatus characterized by a drive assembly and a driven member driven thereby. The driven member includes an end effector for select positioning between adjacent articles of articles of the bulk flow of articles received by the conveyor section in furtherance of delimiting a downstream spaced apart metered article group characterized by a select number of columns. The drive assembly includes cooperatively driven servo drives to effectuate travel of the end effector in either of a downstream article flow direction or an upstream article flow direction, and an up/down direction in relation to articles of the bulk flow of articles received by the conveyor section.

    摘要： The invention discloses a method and apparatus for squaring wall panel assemblies prior to nailing sheathing material thereto. A preformed wall section having a frame and studs has a sheathing member placed thereover and fastened thereto whereby said components form a prefabricated wall section. To ensure that the assembled wall section is square the assembly line has squaring stops positioned on each side of the guide track. These stops are engineered to be in alignment with each other and causing the workpiece to form two right angles prior to release for nailing.

    摘要： A bucking and log handling apparatus has a bucking station where log stems are cut to at least one desirable length. Positioned transversely from the bucking station are at least two axially spaced holding stations with means associated with one holding station to move the log segment axially. The holding stations provide temporary support for the log segments until they are called for downstream at which point the holding function is removed and the log segments fall into the outflow conveyor system. A reject mechanism allows any undesirable log segment to be removed from the system.
