Abstract: A dryer according to the disclosure may detect current flowing through a motor for rotating a drum, detect humidity of a drying material accommodated in the drum, compare the detected humidity to a plurality of pieces of reference humidity and compare the detected current to a plurality of pieces of reference current to obtain a drying load, control a revolutions per minute (rpm) of the motor, a frequency of a compressor provided in a heat pump, and a degree of superheat of an evaporator provided in the heat pump based on the drying load, perform a drying process, detect humidity of the drying material while the drying process is performed, and finish the drying process in response to the detected humidity determined to be target humidity.

Abstract: A method of operating a dryer appliance is provided that includes obtaining washer operating parameters from a washing machine appliance that is linked to the dryer appliance and obtaining dryer operating parameters of the dryer appliance. These parameters are transmitted to a remote server along with a user input such as a selected dryness level. The method further includes receiving operating instructions from the remote server and adjusting at least one operating parameter of the dryer appliance based on the operating instructions.

Abstract: Washing machine appliances and methods of operating the same are provided. Such methods may include, and/or appliances may be configured for, performing a wash operation on laundry articles received in the wash chamber of the wash basket. After the wash operation, it may be determined that the load of articles is still wet, e.g., that a remaining moisture content of the laundry articles is above a threshold. Based on and in response to determining that the load is still wet, a spin cycle is performed before a beginning of a subsequent wash operation.

Abstract: A method of drying a load of articles in a wash basket of a washing machine appliance includes rotating the wash basket within the washing machine appliance. The method may also include monitoring a humidity within the washing machine appliance while rotating the wash basket and comparing the monitored humidity within the washing machine appliance to a humidity threshold. The method may also include estimating a remaining moisture content of the load of articles. The method further includes terminating the drying in response to at least one of the monitored humidity and the estimated remaining moisture content.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for controlling a clothes treating apparatus, the method comprising: a circulation step of circulating air by operating a fan; a heat exchange step of opening a refrigerant pipe by controlling an expansion valve, and circulating a refrigerant by operating a compressor; a circulation termination step of terminating the operation of the fan when the dryness level of clothes stored in a receiving part reaches a predetermined reference dryness level or when the elapsed time of the heat exchange step reaches a predetermined reference time; and a return step of closing the refrigerant pipe by controlling the expansion valve, and returning the refrigerant and lubricant in the refrigerant pipe to the compressor by operating the compressor.

Abstract: A dryer appliance includes a drum rotatably mounted within a cabinet for receiving a load of clothes during a drying cycle. A temperature sensor measures a temperature of air circulated through the drum and a controller obtains a remaining moisture content of the load of clothes from a washing machine appliance, obtains a measured air temperature using the temperature sensor, determines a restriction level of a vent based at least in part on the measured air temperature, and adjusts at least one operating parameter of the dryer appliance based at least in part on the remaining moisture content and the restriction level.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is an intelligent washing machine includes: an inner tub in which laundry is placed; a motor transferring a rotational force to the inner tub; an image obtaining unit obtaining an image of the laundry placed in the inner tub after a washing process; and a controller obtaining a laundry classification information reflecting water content percentage information of the laundry from the image of the laundry, learning the laundry classification information to predict a degree of vibration of the inner tub that occurs in a spin-drying process, and varying a revolutions per minute (RPM) of the motor in the spin-drying process according to the predicted degree of vibration of the inner tub. The washing machine may be associated with an artificial intelligence (AI) module, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) (or drone), a robot, an augmented reality (AR) device, a virtual reality (VR) device, and a device related to a 5G service.
