If a deviation from the desired dry content of the dried web-formed material (1) is detected (6), the volume flow of the process air (40) is changed by increasing the volume flow of the process air (40) at too low a dry content in the web-formed material (1), and by decreasing the volume flow of the process air (40) at too high a dry content in the web-formed material, for the purpose of rapidly regaining the desired dry content of the dried web-formed material (1).

Means is provided for heating gas in the chamber, and a plurality of gas circulation means are provided spaced along the length of the autoclave and each producing a zone for circulation of heating gas. Means is provided for independent control of the rate of heat transfer between the heating gas and the load in said zones and said gas circulation means is arranged to produce a pattern of circulation in which heating gas impinges non-axially onto the load.

    摘要: The machine is operable for continuously extracting moisture or dehydrating food. A plurality of food tray are insertable into a main chamber having an air diffuser mounted on one side and an air collector on the opposite side. Air is drawn through the chamber by a blower. Heat is applied to the food by heater element incorporated at the underside of the food trays. Dampers are located at the air inlet and air exhaust ducts, which may be monitored and adjusted by temperature and moisture sensors for maintaining a selected temperature and moisture condition to extract the moisture content of the food to a desirable condition. The processed food may be retrieved from the machine while a new tray of food is being placed into the chamber.

    摘要: Elliptically shaped reheater conduits extend downward into a portion of a flow path that extends through a lower chamber interior space of a kiln chamber. Each of the reheater conduits has opposite ends, defines a length that extends between the opposite ends and is perpendicular to the portion of the flow path that extends through the lower chamber interior space, defines a first cross-dimension that is perpendicular to the length and parallel to the portion of the flow path, and defines a second cross-dimension that is perpendicular to both the length and the portion of the flow path. The second cross-dimension is less than the first cross-dimension. Each of the reheater conduits defines outlets positioned along the length of the reheater conduit. Each reheater conduit defines a pair of vertices between which its second cross-dimension is defined, and the outlets are proximate the vertices. The outlets of adjacent conduits are arranged so that jet-like flows from the outlets cooperate to produce whirling masses of air that travel downstream along the flow path to advantageously provide turbulence that interacts with a downstream stack of lumber. The jet-like flows from the outlets of the reheater conduits reach adjacent reheater conduits and advantageously interact with the boundary layers that extend around the adjacent reheater conduits. Movable dampers are respectively proximate the upper ends of the reheater conduits and are capable of being moved to adjust the amount of heated air supplied to the reheater conduits. Each reheater conduit advantageously includes an internal converging/diverging section proximate its upper end.

In the legs facing away from the web, a radial fan is incorporated in each U, the delivery direction of which is directed towards the turn joining the two U legs.
