摘要:
A recoil-operated, impulse averaging, air-cooled, magazine-fed, automatic weapon. An operating group of the weapon includes a chamber, a bolt, a barrel extension and one or more toggles. The recoil action of the weapon from firing a first round drives the toggles in a motion constrained by a cam way. The toggles then drive the chamber in a linear reciprocating motion ejecting a first round and over-riding the next round. An impulse averaging system controls the speed of the recoil.

An automatic weapon (10), especially for caseless ammunition with the weapon (10) being guided so that it can move linearly in its longitudinal direction in a weapon housing (14), enabling the weapon (10) to recoil unrestrained over a defined recoil distance (P1, P2, . . . ) during a firing burst. A primary magazine (22) for a large number of powder charges (24) and a primary magazine (18) for a large number of projectiles (20) are attached to the weapon housing (14). The weapon (10) has a jointly moving magazine element (26) for a small number of powder charges (24), and a jointly moving magazine element (28) for a small number of projectiles (20) corresponding to the small number of powder charges (24).
摘要:
A magazine for introducing a plurality of ammunition cartridges into a firearm is disclosed. Particularly, a magazine may include a first rotor configured for rotating about a first center of rotation and a second rotor configured for rotating about a second center of rotation, wherein a position of the first rotor and a position of the second rotor are fixed with respect to one another. Further, operation of the first and second rotor may cause at least one ammunition cartridge of a plurality of ammunition cartridges that are movable by the first and second rotor to move along a serpentine path. Firearm systems including such a magazine are also disclosed. Another aspect of the present invention relates to a method of introducing an ammunition cartridge into a firearm. More specifically, an ammunition cartridge may be moved along a selected serpentine path prior to introducing the ammunition cartridge into a firearm.

The procedure for feeding balls (14) to the projectile chamber (11) of a handgun (1), in particular to the projectile chamber of a paintball weapon, whereby the balls (14) are fed by means of a motor from a ball container (3), through a feeder tube (2) into a projectile chamber (11), is characterized by the fact that the motor is controlled as a function of the movement of the balls (14) in the feeder tube (2). The feeding of the balls (14) to the projectile chamber (11) is controlled in accordance with the procedure which is the subject of the invention. The invention has the advantage that the motor is controlled as a function of the actual conditions prevailing inside the feeder tube (2).
摘要:
A rapid rate of fire, multiple barrel gun employing triangularly shaped cartridges that are fed and ejected transversely to the barrels of the gun. Each barrel has its own separate feed and ejection system, that are driven in common in a synchronized but out-of-phase relationship to successively fire from the different barrels. During each cycle of feed, the cartriges are successively accelerated, then moved at constant speed, then decelerated, and monentarily stopped during firing. The common drive mechanism transfers energy from the feed being decelerated to a different feed being accelerated to more efficiently drive the plural feed and ejection mechanisms at high speed.

A firearm especially for firing large calibre rounds such as rubber bullets and having a rotary magazine which is rechargeable at any stage of depletion. A loading arm serves to guide rounds through an inlet opening in the magazine, in such a way that they are received into corresponding locations in a rotating carrier, and the carrier rotates forward one position with each additional round. Until the penultimate round, the guide means is locked to the magazine body. In this position, it obstructs further movement of the first-inserted round and thus prevents insertion of the final round. Mechanism is described by which, on insertion of the final round the guide means automatically unlocks from the magazine body and locks to the rotating carrier. In this condition it serves to keep the first inserted round locked in the magazine as it completes a full rotation to come opposite the inlet opening once more. Mechanism for firing automatic indexing the carrier, and automatic extraction and ejection of spent cartridges is described.
