摘要： A trigger activated arm may use a piston moving within a cylinder to dampen gun bolt speed. In some embodiments, gun bolt motion increases pressure within the cylinder bore to dampen rearward gun bolt speed. The pressure may be high enough to unseat the cylinder creating a vent that cylinder fluid exits. In other embodiments, gun bolt motion decreases pressure within the cylinder bore to dampen forward gun bolt speed.

摘要： A weapon system is provided. The weapon system includes a receiver and an operating group. The operating group includes a barrel extension at least partially housed within the receiver and arranged to axially translate relative to the receiver; an operating rod (op-rod) assembly arranged to axially translate within the barrel extension; and a bolt assembly arranged to axially translate within the barrel extension. The system further includes a gas accelerator coupled to the barrel and the op-rod assembly; a buffer assembly including a self-centering spring and a hydraulic piston assembly having a first end coupled to the receiver and a second end coupled to the barrel extension; and a feeder coupled to the receiver and configured to provide the round to the operating group.

摘要： A rifle with an upper receiver and a barrel attached to the upper receiver and including a bolt carrier, and operating, buffer, and cooling systems. The operating system includes a cylinder and a piston coupled to receive propelling gases from the barrel. As the piston moves between retracted and extended positions the bolt carrier is moved between closed and open positions. The bolt carrier includes a weight movable within a guide frame between rearward and forward limits. The buffer system includes a compression spring in a tube attached to the upper receiver in abutting engagement with the bolt carrier. A partially fluid filled cylinder is attached to a coil of the spring and includes a piston and shaft. The piston is formed so that fluid in the cylinder restricts movement in one direction and allows free movement in a second direction.

摘要： A recoil-operated, impulse averaging, air-cooled, magazine-fed, automatic weapon. An operating group of the weapon includes a chamber, a bolt, a barrel extension and one or more toggles. The recoil action of the weapon from firing a first round drives the toggles in a motion constrained by a cam way. The toggles then drive the chamber in a linear reciprocating motion ejecting a first round and over-riding the next round. An impulse averaging system controls the speed of the recoil.

摘要： A barrel is fixed in a barrel-carrying member and provided on its outside peripheral surface with a piston and formed with transverse bore means, which communicate with the inside of the barrel and open on the outside peripheral surface thereof forwardly of said piston. An action slide comprises a cylinder, which is spaced around said barrel and defines therewith an annular chamber, which is sealed by said piston and is defined by flow-obstructing means spaced from said piston beyond said transverse bore means. The action slide is capable of a recoil movement relative to said barrel so as to decrease the size of said annular chamber. A counter-recoil spring cooperates with said action slide and tends to move said action slide opposite to the direction of said recoil movement.

摘要： A hydraulic recoil device for a handgun or pistol is provided. The device includes a cylinder defining an interior hollow compartment having a first end and a second end. The device further includes a first resilient member; a piston assembly arranged adjacent to the first resilient member and at least partially within the cylinder, where the piston assembly includes a piston head, a piston rod, and a piston cap; a compressible accumulator arranged within the cylinder; and a second resilient member outside of the cylinder. When the piston rod is displaced toward the first end of the cylinder in operation, a hydraulic resistance is generated by the piston assembly, and when a first end of the second resilient member is displaced toward the second end of the cylinder in operation, additional resistance is generated by the second resilient member.
