Abstract:
A remote control device my comprise a control unit and a mounting structure (e.g., a smart mounting structure) to which the control unit is configured to be mounted. The control unit may be configured to operate in a plurality of operating modes. The control unit may transmit a first message for controlling a first electrical load when the control unit is operating in a first operating mode and a second message for controlling a second electrical load when the control unit is operating in a second operating mode. When the control unit is mounted to the mounting unit, the mounting unit may transmit a third message to the first control circuit of the control unit in response to receiving a user input received via an input circuit of the control unit. The control unit may change between the plurality of operating modes in response to receiving the third message.
Abstract:
Various embodiments are directed to use of RF and WiFi control in a fan device to control fan status and speed and/or fan light on/off status and intensity. A customer premises includes a WiFi router through which WiFi communications can be sent from a WiFi capable device, e.g., a cell phone, to control the fan device and its various functions. While WiFi control is via a WiFi router in the home, the control signals normally do not traverse the Internet or another external network. In addition to WiFi control, control of the fan device can be via an RF control device, e.g., a wall mounted controller. In some embodiments, the fan device reports its state and/or changes in state due to received commands to a server, and the server generates a recommended normal control schedule and an away control schedule and then uses the schedules to control fan device.
Abstract:
Methods and systems are provided for enabling wireless control of devices via portable power supply components. A power supply component may be configured to store and discharge power, which may be configured for use to supply power to a first device, may be additionally configured to pair the first device with a second device; to determine power related data associated with the power supply component, to generate one or more control messages based on the power related data; and to wirelessly communicate the one or more control messages to the second device. The power related data may include information relating to one or more conditions associated with use of power stored in the power supply component. The one or more control messages may be configured for controlling at least a portion of operations of the second device
Abstract:
The invention relates to an operating unit (10) for at least one electromotive adjusting drive (7, 8) of a piece of furniture (1), having:—at least one operating element (12, 13),—a transmission unit (16) for wirelessly transmitting signals on the basis of actuation of the at least one operating element (12), and—a rechargeable energy store (17) for storing electrical energy for supplying power to the operating unit (10). The invention is distinguished by the fact that it has a device (20) for inductively receiving energy for charging the energy store (17). The invention also relates to a control system for controlling at least one adjusting drive of a piece of furniture, and to a piece of furniture having such a control system.
Abstract:
A system for controlling operation of a ground treatment machine includes a hand-held device that wirelessly communicates with the ground treatment machine. The system includes a radio frequency and an infrared frequency wireless communications that are established between the hand-held device and the ground treatment machine. Instructions associated with operation of the machine are communicated to the machine from the hand-held device via the radio frequency communications. A status of the infrared wireless communication is utilized to assess the proximity of the ground working machine relative to the operator and the operating environment such that operation of the machine in accordance with the operational instructions can be interrupted if necessary.
Abstract:
An electric working machine including a motor, an electric-power supply unit, a control unit, and a signal processing unit. The signal processing unit performs a signal control process for sending and receiving a signal to and from the signal processing unit and an external device, and receives at least a stop-command signal from the external device. The control unit stops the electric power supply to the motor in a case where the stop-command signal is received at the signal processing unit when the electric power supply from the electric-power supply unit to the motor is in process.
Abstract:
A power-saving remote control apparatus (40) includes a remote control receiving unit (1022) and a main control unit (104). The main control unit (104) is configured to control the power-saving remote control apparatus (40) to enter a working mode when a controlled apparatus (30) needs to be turned on. The main control unit (104) is configured to control the power-saving remote control apparatus (40) to enter a sleeping-power-saving mode when the controlled apparatus (30) stops working, and then for every first predetermined time, the main control unit (104) is turned on to wake up the remote control receiving unit (1022) to scan a plurality of wireless signals (52). The main control unit (104) is configured to control the power-saving remote control apparatus (40) to enter the working mode if the wireless signals (52) include a wireless starting signal (54) for starting the controlled apparatus (30).
Abstract:
Systems and methods for facilitating caching of programming data are provided herein, including receiving two or more programming data portions, storing the respective programming data portions, managing access to the storage component or the communication component based on programming data portions stored within the storage component, and generating a sleep signal based on a period of inactivity which exceeds an inactivity threshold. In one or more embodiments, caching of programming data may include determining a programming data set based on user profile data, parsing the programming data set into two or more programming data portions, converting respective programming data portions into a format based on a remote configuration, transmitting a first programming data portion of the respective programming data portions, and transmitting additional programming data portions of the respective programming data portions based on a sleep signal.
Abstract:
A television remote control features a rechargeable battery, which may be recharged with either an adapter cord, or a recharging cradle. The remote control also features a simple paging system, which causes a beeper in the remote control to sound off when the paging system is activated.
