摘要： A trading telephone unit of a trading telephone system includes three display devices and control keys on the trading telephone unit. A first display device is provided at an upper left side of the unit having a function keyboard and a ten-key keyboard provided thereunder. On the right side of the unit, two display devices are provided in parallel with one of the two display devices being a second display device having, for example, twenty line selecting keys and a third display device having fifteen line selecting keys and four incoming line selecting keys, thereby enabling the unit to indicate thirty-five lines at once. The trading telephone includes pagenation memory having, for example, ten pages of memory with each page carrying thirty-five line names and dialing numbers. By user request, any one of the pages is called on the second and third display devices with the present page number being displayed on the third display device and on-hold line status information being displayed on the first display device.

摘要： A call coverage arrangement where a covering terminal has, for each covered terminal, a single monitor lamp that not only indicates the overall or collective busy or idle status of the call appearances on the covered terminal but also the collective ringing status. Distinct visual signals are provided at the monitor lamp to indicate either a ringing while idle or a ringing while busy status. This allows all calls to be answered promptly and efficiently by a secretary in a manner which, from a human factors standpoint, is similar to the call coverage provided with key systems.

摘要： Apparatus is disclosed for incorporation into a key telephone system control unit, in at least one station port, for operating an at least one key type set and an at least one tip and ring device simultaneously bridged onto the same station port without the use of any special service circuits or adaptors. The ability to signal alerting indepenedntly via ringing signal on a TR-pair, via messages indicating alerting transmitted on a service pair for a key set or via both techniques simultaneously is also disclosed. Further, the alerting ability disclosed in combination with control by a key system controller of the access of a key set to voiceband communications over the TR-pair allows for incorporation of additional features into a key telephone system. These features include the following: ring specific applications relating to an external event; direct transfer of calls to the transferor station port; calling other sets on the same station port; MEWPRIC (Multiple Extension With Personal Ringing on Incoming Calls) operation, i.e., a party line type of operation where the TR device and the key set sharing a single station port of station ports 103 are assigned different endpoint addresses; prevention of "barge in", i.e., bridging, by a key type set onto a call to a TR device; time phasing of rings to allow for a coverage operation; and fax trouble detection.

摘要： There is disclosed a paged-mapped multi-line telephone communication system where a plurality of line selection keys can be paged to a central control module for an easier and more convenient operation. The operator has a view of all available lines and their status on various modules that are connected to the control module. The operator can select a line through a simplified pagination scheme. A set of lines represented on the auxiliary modules can be transferred to the control module where the operator selects the desired line by pressing the key corresponding to the line which was represented in the page transferred to the control module. To make an outgoing call, or to retrieve a call from another station from hold, the user would first depress the page key on the auxiliary module corresponding to the page or grouping in which the line representation resides.

摘要： A system for transmissing data by a pulse signal through a pair of lines connected between a main unit and a key telephone set is disclosed. The main unit includes a transmitter for sending, prior to transmission of pulse train data, a start signal of a pulse train including a pulse of an n-bit (where n is an integer) specific logic value and a pulse of an (n+1)-bit logic value opposite to the specific logic value. The key telephone set includes a change detector for detecting a change in the pulse train of the start signal in a direction of the logic value opposite to the specific logic value, a logic value detector for detecting a logic value of an (n+1)th bit pulse from a detection timing of the change detector, a discriminator for discriminating on the basis of the logic value of the (n+1)th bit pulse whether a line connection for the key telephone set is normal, and a reader for reading data following the start signal according to a logic determined by a discrimination result.

摘要： An indicator for use with a multiline telephone, which displays the status of both a local and called telephone set. The status indicator is comprised of a first indicator enclosed within a second for displaying by a shade or color the status of a called line, and a second indicator at least partly surrounding the first for partly displaying the first for displaying by shade or color with the second indicator the status of the calling line, whereby a party observing the indicator obtains simultaneous indication of the status of the calling and the called lines. Preferably the first indicator is a circle, enclosed within the second indicator which is a square, both being elements of a liquid crystal display. Each square indicator can be located next to a line access pushbutton with which it is associated.
