摘要： The invention provides a key system unit comprising a first interface suitable for connection to a plurality of local terminals and a control unit coupled to the first interface. The control unit is operative for receiving a user data signal from the first interface and routing the user data signal toward a selected destination. The control unit has a registry for storing status information, the status information including a local segment and at least one remote segment, the local segment providing a representation of the functional status of the key system unit, the remote segment providing a representation of the functional status of a remote key system unit. The information in the registry can be displayed on a display screen on a local terminal to provide the user with system status information on the local key system unit and the remote key system unit.

摘要： A system and method of synchronizing visual indicators in digital telephone including at least one attached auxiliary device. Visual indicators on the base telephone and the auxiliary device are first set to an initial state. Later, as various telephony features are activated, corresponding ones of the visual indicators on the base telephone and the auxiliary device are operated at predetermined cadences. When the cadence control mechanism (and thus the visual indicators) of the base telephone reaches a predetermined state, a state machine in the base telephone sends a synchronization message to the auxiliary device and then continues to operate the visual indicators on the base telephone at their predetermined respective cadences. Upon receipt of the synchronization message, the auxiliary device sets its cadence control mechanism to the predetermined state, thus synchronizing them with their like cadence counterparts in the base digital telephone. The auxiliary device then continues to operate its visual indicators at their predetermined respective cadences.

摘要： In a telephone key system including a central branch exchange and a plurality of key stations, each key station includes a switch-mode power supply unit and derives logic circuit drive power by converting unregulated high tension d.c. voltage power from the exchange to regulated low tension logic level voltage. In the preferred arrangement each key station includes WAL II code signalling receive and transmit circuits and burst mode signalling is adopted. The transformers of these circuits are center-tapped for transformer phantom coupling to the switch-mode power supply unit, and are connected to the exchange by a 2-way 4-wire line. The switch-mode power supply unit is preferably of flyback configuration and includes thus a controlled transistor switch, a transformer, a rectifier, and a switch-mode power supply controller to control on/off operation of the switch for voltage regulation.

摘要： A key telephone system having a plurality of station sets for connection to first or second telephone lines. The system includes a common control line for transmitting and receiving control signals at each of the station sets. In response to such a control signal, the handsets of at least two of the station sets are connected to the common control line to establish an intercom connection between them. Each of the station sets also includes a transistor load network having a load impedance which is substantially equal to that of the handset. Each network is normally connected across the control line except when the associated handset is connected to that line so that the overall load on it remains substantially constant. This eliminates transients which may cause received errors in the control signals.
