Abstract:
An object of the present invention is to provide a facsimile apparatus having a high resolution image display unit and a hard copying unit, which is capable of preventing wasteful consumption of recording paper sheets while revealing a reduced size and excellent operation facility. In order to achieve the aforesaid object, according to the present invention, there is provided a facsimile apparatus having the image display unit comprising a reflecting mirror for displaying a toner image formed on an image recording medium in response to an image signal while inverting the toner image into a readable direction and a cover, a selection unit for determining whether or not it is necessary to transfer and fix the toner image onto the recording paper sheet in accordance with whether or not it is necessary to record image information discriminated from the toner image displayed on said image display unit, and the hard copying unit for transferring fixing the toner image formed on the image recording medium by a transferring roller and a drive roller in response to a selection signal supplied from the selection unit.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an image processing apparatus which can read an image of an original, and display the read image on a display and/or record the read image on a recording medium. The image processing apparatus comprises display means for displaying an image, an original inlet provided in the vicinity of one end of a display surface of the display means, an original outlet provided in the vicinity of the other end of the display surface of the display means, an original feeding path arranged behind the display means and adapted to guide an original introduced into the original inlet to the original outlet, and reading means for reading the original being fed along the original feeding path and for emitting an image signal on the basis of which the image of the original is displayed on the display surface of the display means.
Abstract:
Reflected image light obtained by illuminating a reading portion to be read on a given objective image plane is sent to an image sensor located on the rear side through a reflecting member disposed substantially just above the reading portion. By forming a viewing path inclined forward against or toward with respect to a vertical plane the image sensor so as to permit the reading portion to be observed easily, the desired image light reflected from the reading portion is little interfered with external light entering inside the scanner through the viewing path, thereby to obtain image processing of high quality.
Abstract:
A picture reading apparatus is disclosed which comprises a camera which converts a picture to be read to an electric signal, a supporting member for supporting the camera movably, and a voice input unit. A control device serves to minimize the output from the voice input unit during movement of the supporting member. Thus while a mechanism for moving the camera is in operation, the output from the voice input unit is minimized to suppress the output of operational noise.
Abstract:
Camera for opto-electronic scanning of any desired scene which is projected along a primary optical beam path onto a planar image field of the camera. A line image sensor having a plurality of sensor elements arranged in a line, and an auxiliary image sensor comprising a plurality of sensor elements having the form of an area array, are mounted on a carrier of a first moving means which displaces the line image sensor together with the area image sensor through the planar image field of the camera and perpendicularly to the direction of the sensor line.
Abstract:
An image input apparatus is disclosed, which comprises a running roller manually rolled along an image information surface for the scanning thereof, position detecting means for detecting the position of the running roller according to the rotation thereof, a line sensor for reading out image information of the image information surface, a line sensor driving circuit for driving the line sensor according to a control pulse signal having a constant cycle period, and memory means for storing the output of the line sensor. The output of the position detecting means is utilized as address data of a memory to accurately store image information in the memory.
Abstract:
A viewing aid includes a camera, a viewing surface within a field of view of the camera, a memory, a display, and software programmed to track a tracking element within the field of view. Viewing material is placed on the viewing surface. The camera, viewing surface, and material all remain substantially stationary. The camera captures and stores an initial image of the material in the memory. The software then tracks the location of a tracking element within the field of view then maps the location to a portion of the initial image in memory using an X-Y coordinate system, and/or identifies character elements of the material adjacent the tracking element then maps the character elements to corresponding character elements of the initial image in memory. An enhanced image is then displayed on the display corresponding to the mapped portion of the initial image.
Abstract:
An image capture unit and computer readable medium used in combination therewith includes an image capturing sensor, a visual display, an instance of the computer readable medium, and circuitry for integrating functionalities thereof. The computer readable medium causes sensor data received from the image capturing sensor to be processed. The sensor data includes a plurality of image tiles and position indicating data defining a respective relative position of each one of each image tiles. Each one of each image tiles includes data representing a discrete portion of visual content. The computer readable medium causes a feedback image be displayed on the visual display. Displaying the feedback image includes correlate the relative position of each one of each image tiles with at least one other image tile that has been previously generated and displayed.
Abstract:
A method for creating digital documents from hardcopy documents by means of a reproduction system including a display and a scanner includes detecting an event of an intended scanning of a hardcopy document; upon detection of the event, opening an image adjustment screen at the display, the screen including an image area, a scan settings area and a process button; displaying at the image area of the screen a digital image; displaying, at the scan settings area of the screen, image parameter values; activating the image parameter values by activating the process button; closing the screen at the display; scanning the hardcopy document according to the image parameter values corresponding with the displayed digital image resulting in a digital document; and selecting the digital image to be displayed to be either equal to a digital image that has been previously stored, or equal to a predetermined other digital image.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for performing an image forming job by maintaining a cover, which covers a scan area and has adjustable transparency, in a transparent state until a job for acquiring image data of a scan object starts in an image forming apparatus. If the job for acquiring the image data of the scan object positioned in the scan area starts, the image forming apparatus converts the cover into an opaque state and acquires the image data of the scan object. If the job for acquiring the image data of the scan object is ended, the image forming apparatus reconverts the cover into a transparent state. Therefore, efficiency of a job for acquiring image data of a scan object is improved.
