摘要： A slide or chute having an elongate bedway is provided with a handrail adjacent to each lateral side of the bedway. Each handrail has a longitudinally extending channel with an opening configured to receive the hand or fingers of a person using the slide or chute for protecting the hands and fingers of the user. The handrails may be formed integral with the slide or chute or may be provided as separate members for attachment to existing slides and chutes. Objects may also be passed through the longitudinal channels of the handrails from the top end to the bottom end of the slide or chute for amusement.

摘要： An amusement ride has rails defining a longitudinal travel direction along which a car is displaceable. A longitudinally extending drive member secured to this car is engageable by drive members which rotate to displace the car along the rails in the longitudinal direction. This member comprises at least two generally parallel, longitudinally extending, and vertically spaced chains each formed of a longitudinal succession of links and a plurality of longitudinally succeeding rigid segments each having a pair of transversely bolted-together halves flanking the chains. The halves of each segment are complementarily formed to and encase a respective plurality of the chain links.

摘要： A track for vehicles which is particularly adapted for amusement park rides having a plurality of banked curves. The track comprises a pair of track rails connected to a lower backbone pipe. In curved sections, the plane of the track rails extends at varying banked angles around the course line of the track. In such sections, the distances between the plane of the track rails and the backbone pipe varies in direct relationship to the bank angle of the curve. The distance between the plane of the track rails and the course line remains constant. The plane of the backbone pipe also remains parallel to the plane of the course line. The course line is preferably disposed a substantial distance above the plane of the track rails.

摘要： An amusement device comprises a lightweight coaster adapted to move by gravitation along a track configuration having portions of varying inclination. The track is supported at its elevated end by an assembly which also serves as a mounting platform, and at a point intermediate its ends by another support structure. Spaced apart, substantially convex parallel rails, on which coaster wheels having a substantially concave circumferential groove therein are adapted to ride, form the track. The coaster is generally box-shaped, substantially enclosed at the top, and houses a compartment in which the occupant sits and which includes a handle-bar assembly and a coaster release handle to initiate coaster motion. The wheels of the coaster are adjustable to control their speed of rotation.

A track is provided with a lower front end and a rear upper end while a vehicle is provided for free movement gravitationally down the track from its rear upper end toward its lower front end. A supporting structure supports the rear upper end of the track at the required elevation, this supporting structure also serving to support a releasable holding element which releasably holds a vehicle at the rear upper end of the track while a child climbs into the vehicle. A manually operable member is accessible to the occupant of the vehicle for displacing the holding member to a non-holding or release position, so that when the occupant desires the vehicle can be released for movement down the track.
