The at least one slider assembly has a slider block connected to one of the movable sheave and the spider and abutting another one of the movable sheave and the spider. The slider block slides along the other one of the movable sheave and the spider as the movable sheave moves axially. The invention comprises a frame [1] having a front wheel, and a structure [2] having a rear hub [4]. The structure [2] is suspended pivotally to the frame [1] about a rotational axis [3]. The wheelbase is varied by pivoting the structure [2] about the rotational axis [3]. By pivoting the structure [2], the catching wheels [7] and [8], both connected to the rear hub [4], travel along the retainer [5] and [6], respectively, and transmit torque to the rear hub [4] in one direction.

    摘要: A continuously variable transmission includes an input rotor, an output rotor, a plurality of planetary rollers, a guide member, a movable ring, and an elastic member. The input rotor is arranged to rotate about a main axis at a rotation rate before a speed change. The output rotor is arranged to rotate about the main axis at a rotation rate resulting from the speed change. The planetary rollers are arranged around the main axis, and each planetary roller is capable of rotating about a rotation shaft. The guide member is arranged to restrict positions of both end portions of the rotation shaft. The movable ring is capable of rotating about the main axis between the main axis and the planetary rollers. The movable ring is annular, and is capable of moving in an axial direction. The elastic member is capable of expanding and contracting in the axial direction. Each planetary roller includes a first slanting surface, a second slanting surface, and an annular recessed portion or annular projecting portion. The guide member is arranged to hold the end portions of the rotation shaft at different circumferential positions such that each end portion of the rotation shaft is capable of shifting a position thereof in a radial direction with respect to the main axis. The elastic member is arranged to apply a pressure to the movable ring in the axial direction.

    摘要: A propulsion device for a bicycle can include a mounting assembly for releasably coupling the propulsion device to the bicycle, a motor, a power source selectively providing power to the motor, a gear assembly, and two frictional drive components coupled to the gear assembly. The two frictional drive components can be movable between an engaged configuration and a disengaged configuration. In the engaged configuration, the two frictional drive components are frictionally engaged with a side of a wheel of the bicycle such that the wheel is arranged between the two frictional drive components. In the disengaged configuration the two frictional drive components are disengaged from the wheel. The motor can drive the gear assembly: (i) to move the two frictional drive components into the engaged configuration, and (ii) to rotate at least one of the two frictional drive components to rotate the wheel of the bicycle.
