摘要： A flying craft which is pushed by a surface vehicle which follows the flying craft is disclosed. The craft includes a winged body which is connected by an elongated push pole to a ground engaging propelling vehicle. The control of the winged body is accomplished by changing the vertical position of one end of the elongated push pole relative to the opposite end of the flying craft. The surface vehicle limits the angle which the pole makes relative to the surface to prevent the surface vehicle from overtaking the flying craft.

摘要： A fan-powered water vessel in which an essentially flat-bottomed main hull portion is provided with a central friction reducing, relatively shallow tunnel whereby air forced into the forward portions thereof serves to form an air film between the major parts of the bottom of the boat and the supporting water surface. In addition, a pair of relatively narrow secondary tunnels are provided on either side of the central tunnel and are of a depth substantially greater than that of the central tunnel so as to confine the friction reducing air film between said secondary tunnels. This construction enables the boat to be utilized both on relatively calm inland waters and swamps as well as in choppy waters. An elevated bow provided at the forward section of the main hull divides and spreads waves to further enhance efficiency. The rear of the hull includes a power supply support housing including an air fan. In one preferred example, a trailer hauling hitch is provided at the bow section in combination with a pair of trailer wheels vertically movable into an operable position and supported in conjunction with the power housing.

摘要： An apparatus for mounting and permitting swivel movement through 360.degree. of an engine driven aerodynamic propeller type of propulsion and steering unit such as used on aquatic craft. The engine and propeller are mounted on a pedestal which in turn is mounted to swivel about an axis substantially normal to the boat deck. The engine throttle cable is connected to an unique universal coupling which permits axially reciprocal movement of the throttle cable, and thereby control of the engine, independent of either the position of the engine or the extent of the rotational movement of the propulsion unit relative to the platform on which it is mounted. The propeller is connected to the engine by a centrifugal clutch to permit the engine to be started and idled without operating as a propulsion device.

摘要： A guard structure for the air-moving propeller of a marine air motor for over-water propulsion utilizing a combustion engine operatively connected to such propeller for rotating the same, in which the guard structure is constructed from wire stock and provided with a configuration to operatively enclose the propeller at opposite sides and at the outer ends of the propeller as it rotates, the guard being constructed from wire stock formed into a plurality of convolutions connected by radially extending reinforcing ribs of wire stock, with the ribs being rigidly secured to the respective convolutions at their intersections therewith, the convolutions of the guard structure comprising at least two groups, each having a plurality of convolutions, with the convolutions of each group being formed from a respective single length of wire stock to form a vibration-resistant structure, the convolutions and ribs of the guard structure being provided with a coating of suitable material operable to protect the wire stock forming the structure from exposure to the elements and simultaneously therewith reduce noise resulting from the flow of air through the guard structure.

In one embodiment, the rudder assembly may comprise two vertical mast rudders connected by an upper horizontal wing, with the thrust assembly mounted on the horizontal wing. In a second embodiment, the rudder assembly may comprise an annular airfoil with the thrust assembly mounted on a mast and positioned in the center of the annular airfoil. The thrust assembly may be a propeller, a turbine, a ramjet, or a rocket.
